Lovely video. I have found small white worms in my plant soil. What to do 😢😢😢
@GardeningUpbeat

Thank you for your feedback! Some such worms eat new leaves too..So, you can get rid of them manually or apply pesticides like Exodus (available on Amazon). Also, avoid keeping the pot in too damp area. Good luck!

Planted many cuttings in the same way...but I covered them with plastic bags,as the weather is too hot here, the plants have grown well ,but if I remove the plastic bag they start to wilt...if I place the plastic bag again they become normal...dont know what to do...how to practice the plants to normal temp... without cover...any suggestion pls

Please make some small holes in the plastic bags..that way, they would be able to absorb in the new environment much faster. Also, need to cover the cuttings if Humidity is too low..right now it's 97% here in my place which is quite high. If it doesn't come below around 50%, no need to cover. Please also note - I am not an scientist..ha ha..saying from my experiences..All the best!

Hi Mr.Chandan, thank you for creating such informative and practical videos on gardening. I had a request, if you can provide cuttings of your red bougainvillea plant ( the one with very little leaves and more flowers)

Thank you very much for your feedback, appreciated! It's a tissue cultured variety...bit difficult to grow from cuttings...but, surely I would try.

@@GardeningUpbeat Thank you for the reply. I would be very grateful if you could manage it or alternatively if you could guide me where I could buy such a plant variety.

I would try..also, you would get such variety in any plant nurseries. Please ask for the Tissue cultured or Hybrid variety. Now I know that, not all store owners are innocent and many would refer a normal variety as hybrid or tissue cultured (not their problem as they concentrate only on selling) So, how to identify them? No 1. They are usually bushy and they don't have only 1 or 2 very long branches No 2. They would have flowers. No 3. Would have less thorns comparing to the local variety No 4. Growing habit won't be like jungly plant. Exception to No 2. - This is not the blooming season. So, even if you visit any nursery, it would be very hard to get a fully bloomed Bougainvillea plant. This is the growing season. You can buy them at the end of August or Mid-Sept as from that time they start to bloom. Or if you have trusted source, definitely you can get them. On this short video (kzbin.info3-5Tw1kIz0Q), I have shared a Tissue Cultured variety. It was very small but still, it was flowering. Definitely a good quality one. But it has a drawback - it's going to take minimum 2 years to reach a matured stage like I have shared on this video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHiYlGZ_brZrb68 At this time, I am working on many things like, trying to give them a tree shape, making Chitra Bougainvillea bushier (usually they get leggier) etc. I would upload in coming days and hope, I would be successful. I hope, I have provided you a good answer. But still, if you have any, please feel free to ask me. Thank you!

I see when you did this your stem is already brown. My rubber plant stem is only brown at the bottom inch or so. Is it too young for this process?

If I am not wrong, you are referring to my video about growing Rubber plant from cuttings. Sure, you can go ahead and plant the cuttings as shown in the video. With bit care and observation, we can grow them from cuttings easily. Wish you all the best!

@@GardeningUpbeat I don’t have a cutting. I just have a plant with a bare stem. One of the last two leaves is already browning and I’ve had it for a little over a month. The leaf that has been closed. The whole time shows no sign of opening. I did have an overwatering issue so I repotted and fixed that. I’m not sure why she’s browning again And I was hoping to bring her back to life. I’m not sure if I should go your route or try notching ?

@@GardeningUpbeat im so sorry!! I just realized I commented on the wrong video. It was about the rubber plant. I’m going to comment on the right one now thank you.

@jennicruz4143, You absolutely don't have to say sorry! I got it just after reading your comment :-) It looks like your plant is sick..and that's why, please allow her sometime to settle down in the new environment. In the meantime, please try to provide maximum bright light, air flow as you can. I wouldn't recommend you to go for notching at this time as she is already in stress. Plus, notching doesn't always provide good result. I already did this many times and instead of notching, I prefer to grow them from cuttings. Please note - environment plays a major role in the growing habits of plants. So, if notching is not working for me means, it doesn't have to be the same with you. Wish you all the best and please don't hesitate to ask me any questions if you have :-)
