As a club dj with 12 years experience I can say that I tried a lot of gear and software. I went from Traktor to Rekordbox (controller and Pioneer players, even the 3000s) and recently started playing on Denon players. The options for manipulating my music are incredible on Denon, from beat jumps, cue points, loops and even editing the grid, everything is fast and precise. Also, when I don't have the time to download and sort music, I just make a quick Tidal playlist on my phone and I have it available on the players as soon as I turn them on. This is really some nest level stuff for me. One more thing to end this comment: Crates > Playlists. For people who don't know how crates differ from playlists, I really recommend looking into this.

@hyperfocus4866 is far superior? No chance. High, quality audio components aren't cheap. That's why high end headphones are expensive. There is a zero % chance denon is far superior. As ma matter fact I doubt it's any better as far as audio goes. It doesn't make logical sense for something cheaper to be higher quality in audio

Without analysis upon load the Prime 4 wouldn't be able to provide the Music Streaming services. Makes sense that it would analyze any music from any source. But disappointing that the Rekordbox embedded can't do that though; i haven't used any Pioneer software but Serato, DJAY, VDJ all analyze music upon load, and not having it on my Standalone would be a deal breaker as this makes it perfect for open format.

@@itsXZY Thanks for replying. I've tried some online articles and KZbin videos. What I'm also trying to do is figure out a way to partition a 8 Terabyte drive into 2 Terabyte partitions. One of my 8 Terabyte drives is now stuck with the FAT32 format. I'm trying to find a good link to unformat then create partitions and reformat and so forth. I've read that the largest I can format for FAT32 is 2 TB. My luck with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stuff has not been the most solid connection. I like to have at least one portable backup of my music library - in addition to two other forms of backup.

The Prime Four is better than the Pioneer stand alones (all of them) and even the CDJ 3000s. Its faster and more accurate. I have seen them lined up next to each other at a demo, live. Anyone that does things properly always analyses their files in software before loading them into any player. More times than I care to remember beat grids are wrong. The fact a player can "analyse" songs to me is irrelevant if you are doing a properly job with your music first. Same with streaming services, if you are doing the job properly you want to down the file and properly analyse it. So again streaming services are a gimmick.
@Ipeeinpools-hb9vz

I wholeheartedly disagree, I can stream entire pre-made sets on my Prime 4 comprised of tracks I do not own. I can play requests, search and find off the wall re-mixes as I play (as long as there's WIFI) as well as any DJ can walk up drop their USB in and play on a prime without worrying about what software you're analyzed to. And if the beat grid is off you can adjust it as the track is playing regardless if its streaming or analyzed though Engine.

Agree that normally you should prepare your sets anyway. However, in terms of functionality for a working DJ, Pio is like two decades behind. Not only that I can stream pretty much any request, if any other DJ (or not) comes w an unprepared USb stick, with pretty much any music file format, Denon will read it, play it even before is fully loaded and fully analyse it in a matter of seconds. Beatgrid edit on the fly if needed, 8 cue points + 8 loops on the pads, beatjump and, yeah, add DMX lights control on the fly as well and you get the picture. And I didn't even touch on the subject of price. But yeah, if you prepare your sets well, you can be amazing on a 80s turntable.
