Those 7.5 litre engines are bombproof plenty of torque and arguably one of the best NH have ever had . Range command is decent also. Local contractor had a 125 doing well over 200hp and was around clock a few times and still going strong when replaced

Good looking tractor: I thought it was new! looking forward to seeing it in action next year. So glad that you got a NH and not a Case. Can't really explain why, I don't know much about tractors but a Case would have been an anticlimax. Can tell that you both are really pleased with it. Good choice (says the townie).

That is nearly the same spec as the tm we used to have. That is a real tractor. The gearbox in it is by far my favourite. Our old one had a set of 40 series weights on the front painted new Holland blue, it really set it of. Best of luck with her she’ll have many hours in her yet ahah👍

We've got a 2001 model 40k power command. Only problems been the brakes as they were originally the same as a 155 but too small for the horse power. The early 175/190s had terrible electronics/wiring but did come with larger brakes. P New Holland brought out an upgraded brake unit. Also don't put in the wrong brake fluid as it ruins the seals. The rear split rims tend to crack around the bolt attachments if towing/carrying heavy loads. There's been a large Massey, T7040 and T7.245 on the farm but the TM165 is still there 19yrs later and in very good shape and condition. Spent 10years on an 16T Redrock dump trailer. The old man's talked about trading it in many times but always talks himself out of it.

and she's range command to boot too, brilliant find imo. shame it doesnt have 540 eco pto. i guarantee it aint doing 165hp either. wouldve gotten the 10mm spanner treatment, like every other tm on the planet

Lovely example Nick, hard to be found in that condition I'd say! I'd disagree with the 175/190 comments though, if minded they are a pure beast of a tractor, neighbours have 1 for years and it hasn't put a foot wrong, and I can hear it coming a mile away!! Well wear & happy Christmas.

whe have ah 135 and 165 bougt 19 years old 135 has 15000 ours 165 has 23000 ours but that 165 is pure power house that 135 puls like ah 60 hp tractor

We had a TM150 for a long time, very reliable. Only problem was the hitch which wore out but you've got the upgrade by the looks of it. Still for me one of the best/easiest gearboxes to use. Good luck with it, good value for money i imagine. Certainly compared to newer prices!

The 60 / TM series were a love child between Fiat and Ford , backend and front axle came from Fiat then the Cab , range command gearbox and Engine were Ford designs but Fiat did strengthen the bottom end of the powerstar engine

Hi brilliant tractor have a habit of breaking exhaust manifold bolts and if left unreplaced will warp the manifold also valve guides and collet's need replacing before 10000 hrs as they have a habit of dropping a valve.The brakes can wear out unexpected and a good guide for this is if the transmission filter light comes on between services remove the filter and cut it open to check for debris or steel, they usually wear the right hand brake out first for some reason best of luck with it and enjoy .

Great you can go back and film, hopefully your cousin will go too. I love that style Ford too. Dad had a 155 then when he retired he used the farms 135 with the 5 furrow KV and it handled the plough pretty well he said, even on steep, tough going. I hope she serves you well. Should be more economical on grain cart too. Bit late but merry Christmas to you all, all the best for 21. We had a same NW TM165, bit different gearbox and rear rim, which we traded in for a Steyr 4110 Cvt. But now, we regret that decision. Plus that tractor was brought my dad around 2000. They even got out to the factory for a tour. :D I wish we didn't traded it in. It was a great tractor and we did know it very well. Not to mention, it was around 180 hp. :D It would be awesome and bit of a dream if we somehow could buy it again. I only fear about how would we get it back.

New Holland tractors sent our local agg dealer bust through all the recall work they were getting and new Holland wouldn't pay up. for the work we bought one it was a nightmare got rid of it after 6 months and bought a fendt never had a problem with fendt
