How the ending worked: A while back AEtherPi showcased this tech in a stream: If you're in a drybones shell under a 1-way and a CP, you collect the CP. It was behind the thwomp at the end.

22:29 The ending is genius, there's a checkpoint hidden behind the thwomp and you can't hear it because of the beep noise. Beforehand, the area was completely cleared out by bombs so there is a lot more free space to move. Also the black area normally in the end section is hidden by semisolids.

That ending is amazing. I just realized why you have to wait for a P-switch when you come back to the room with the dry bowl... that gives them time to go destroy all the blocks that surround the ending and put the big Thwomp in the way.

Thank you. Actually, most blocks are destroyed the first time the player goes through the room. The P switch is for, as you said, the thwomp, and some cleanup on the few blocks that remained from the first block destroying session.

I think the creator answered this on FreakAndGeek's channel. If you beat Kaizo room 1, you get a second harder Kaizo room. If you also beat that first try, there's a room that says something like "God gamer" which has no exit and makes you die anyway. Not sure what the dev did to clear the level originally

I think I know how he won. When he touched the thwomp before the end, he collected the checkpoint which let him win. And it said "Unfair Kaizo Part" in ice, and as the level said, ice lies. So, he didn't have to do the kaizo part so you probably went back to CP1 if you completed the kaizo.

I know what happened at 22:31, the was a checkpoint behind the thwomp and the end, so when you die at the kaizo part, you respawn and win at that 2nd checkpoint.

Yes I tried to figure it out and checked the position of the lanes. It was at the thwomp. Because I wasn't sure, if it depended on which pipe you choose. I think BOTH pipes led to Kaizo Part and probably at the end of the Kaizo Part you end up on a warp pipe to CP1. Just to remind you that Kaizo is not part of a troll level 😅 Only speculations.

Ending explained: at 22:32, the checkpoint and goal is behind the thwomp. When you went under it, the glitch sound effect concealed the checkpoint sound. So, when you failed the kaizo, it sent you to that checkpoint.
