I was delighted with how well it worked with the flute, actually... I might try to work it into my live gigging set up - though I would need an extra but to plug in as it would have to be right next to my mouth or it would pick up too many other sounds.

The audio is very nice. It is balanced and sounds good. Speaking of James Harriot, I just saw an advert for a new remake of "All Creatures Great and Small". It will be on my Public Broadcasting Stations (Like your BBC), but I suspect it is a BBC production. That was a particularly lovely tune.

Mmm. It's finite and that's what's getting us through. We've been in this latest hard lockdown since December 20th I think... I haven't been in a shop since before Christmas. We're very much looking forward to the shining light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks, Miriam. x

Yes! Izzy made that for me for a Christmas present and I forgot all about it until now! Whoopsadaisy. Yes - I bet if I hadn't had another human being to support during this time I would have had a very different experience. Doing things for others, in my experience, is a very big boost to my own personal morale.

I have been watching the old All Creatures Great and Small so funny you mentioned it. The other day my drain was slow, then I looked and a bit of paper was blocking it, nothing serious, yay! You are a perfectionist to get the blogging sound just right but it will save you much time for editing then. That was grand idea for pancakes, a true quick bread.

I know - it's getting out of hand! 🤣 My GoPro 9 seems to have stopped glitching since I manually updated the firmware with the most recent December update directly onto the micro SD in the laptop and then transferred it to the camera. It is SOOO much more convenient than the mega set up.

I did a plain tomato soup with chopped onions, chopped cabbage, and cubed plain tofu. I have been thinking about adding chopped zucchini into it, but decided on arugula and cilantro for a bit of added flavour. Now I've seen your video, that cheesy pancake is not a bad idea. Thanks 👍 It's taking me a LOT of getting used to!!! I think I'm almost there now. I've gone right round the houses with the Rode Wireless and today I've gone back to filming with the inbuilt. I hadn't realised there were a variety of settings for that too - it was doing some weird 5-direction surround sound thing which was causing a bit of a phasey effect when I was speaking from behind the camera and facing a wall. I've switched to plain 2 sided stereo today so I really do hope that will fix it as it really is a pain having to turn all the extra things on and off and worry about them being charged up etc. Take two things out vlogging? No - I just want to vlog-and-go! (This is my wash-and-go ref)

So glad you are using the Rode Wireless Mic. It actually has quite an amazing battery life. I have only had a problem once and it was because I didn't plug it in completely. You will love it. It was a Game changer for me. I didn't have to obsess with the mic which freed up my creativity.

I need to check how long it lasts for... I'm loving it but I do hope I quickly get used to all the things to switch on and off. It won't be any good for when I'm out and about, filming my day, but I have the GoPro 9 for that, and it's actually behaving itself at the moment. If it keeps behaving I'll make my final tech purchase for now and get the media mod attachment which included a better mic attached, with windshield, but also an external mic socket, so I'd also have to option of using the Rode with that too. The freedom's gonna be amazing - so far I've had to speak right up close to the camera every time!

Flip monitor open (also that turns the camera on), light on at appropriate brightness, mic on and receiver on. I’m getting quicker at it.
