I’ve only watched 40s of this so far… Indie Lee is the best entertainment value any triathlon KZbin channel can get! FACT!

Really nice vid, thanks! A maybe dumb question for anyone - about swim training with paddles, what’s the reason behind / benefit? Keep up the smashing work 🙏🏼
@Reastle15 ай бұрын
Can be different reasons for paddles depending on which paddles you are using. For me is a combination of strength and technique

Congrats on getting PRs and KOMs a few weeks/days before Nice. Must feel nice :) Lovely to see your chemistry with Indie on camera. Brings a lot of humanity to the content. Glad we are not getting blister shots anymore. Hopefully that is all behind you. Lots of us really are rooting for a good Ruth A result in Nice. Feels like you deserve it after a tough 2023. Suggestion 1: Please share more often the purpose of your sessions. As you get ready for it, would be good hear where you are off to and what you are trying to achieve (trainig focus with your ride up Col de la Llose?). Or add this as text on the screen in the edit (if you don't want to say it on camera). Same with the swims (200s? 400s? speed / endurance, etc. ). Don't need the secret sauce, but at least the outline and focus. You did it once in this vid (when spinning in the garage). The Norwegians' or Sam Laidlow's vids are interesting for that - getting to know what sessions the pros are doing... not just their day to day. Love the drone shots to show the scenery and nice to see the roads and climbs you are training on! Suggestion 2: vary the drone shots with some "close up and then fly out to pan out and reveal the scenery" or "track, get closer and overtake" (just not always the same type of shots). Topics for future vids - your favourite workouts / sessions ? As always, shorter is better (15-18min... 20+ is long for a diary type vid...) Keep it up! The numbers will come. All the best for Nice!!

Thanks for the feedback - good idea re giving more of the specific purpose of the sessions. Will do a bit more of that 👍

Are you concerned at all that you havnt been able to get much running done? Or will you just rely on all your bike fitness come race day?
@Reastle15 ай бұрын
Can’t be concerned about it - have done everything I can training wise with what my body has been able to do. In an ideal world I would have had 9 months of running but that hasn’t been the case so just have to work around what I can do and not focus on what I can’t

@Reastle1 that's a great perspective Ruth. You have proven how amazing you are off little run training. You have a natural run pedigree so you don't need to do a lot of miles. You also have a fierce mindset, so I'm sure you will smash it on race day 😊

You seem to have been in Europe for a while, do restrictions post Brexit not cause you issues?
@Reastle15 ай бұрын
No - have to keep an eye on the days but is it quite a lot of time you can spend - basically 3 months out of a 6 month period
