When I would get stuck in areas occasionally with no loads I did two things. I either took a load anywhere just to keep moving and hopefully it’s a better area for freight if look for short local loads in state. Sometimes even a couple hundred miles is all it takes to change your situation. Good luck!

Outstanding video as always Alex keep making them. I’m gonna go back and look, but did you happen to make an update on how the heater setup is working and how much diesel is burning overnight also thanks for showing the different strapping methods and punching the side of that crate makes sense. I’ve just never seen that done before and showing the different chaining methods I think that’s what’s making your channel so successful you’re constantly making them different entertaining and very valuable for someone who’s trying to learn what to do and how to get set up

@@Mr.AlexKogan I’ll be spending the weekend doing some truck maintenance time to do the differential fluid the third time I’m trying to do it a little bit more often a little bit sooner than what the manufacturer recommends for the Duramax. I think they say every 50 but I’m doing it every 35.
@Mr.AlexKogan4 ай бұрын
@@tg9388 I’ve done that several times already on mine. Annoying because on Ram we don’t have a drain plug so you have to take the cover off to drain. Banks makes a nice cover with a drain plug and a little window to see fluid level.

A minor point, I'm pretty sure that thing on the trailer needs four independent attachment points to the trailer no matter how light it might be.
@Mr.AlexKogan4 ай бұрын
You are incorrect. Each one of my chains has a working load limit of 6,600lb. I’m using two chains which means they can hold 13,200lb. That machine weighs 6200lb. If the machine weighed more than 13,200lb then I would need 4 independent securement points.
@davidnull55904 ай бұрын
@Mr.AlexKogan --- I agree with you -- but in practice the guys on the side of the road want the four independent securements. I'm basing this on NY and PA, they are often unhappy. It beats arguing with them about the weight of the machine. Thanks for your reply.
@levi9kirk4 ай бұрын
@davidnull5590 anything under 10k pounds you only need two tie down points anything over that you have to cover half the weight of the equipment with at least 4 independent points of contact

What mpg do you average? Like let’s say with 8000 lbs on your trailer
@Mr.AlexKogan4 ай бұрын
All has to do with the height of the load. With that last load in the video, which was 12,000lb roughly, I was getting around 10.5 mpg. If the load is tall but not heavy I’d get worse mpg because of wind drag. Also depends if you’re in the mountains or on flat road. Overall my average is 9-10 mpg
