Funnily enough, after watching your box opening from Bob i actually thought to myself "it would be really cool if Mr Dave sent him a package"...then a day later here we are!

There are some truly amazing very generous people on the YTPC that’s for sure and I definitely wasn’t expecting anything from anyone just to enjoy everyone’s videos and do my own. Yes that clocks special, been handed down generation after generation, it even housed my uncles shotguns before the laws tightened up and we all had to have gun cabinets but there’s still one old gun in it of his which is a little air rifle probably dating to around 1940 possibly before which is an old Diana I can’t remember the exact model of the top of my head but the spring in it is so weak it hardly has any power left. As a youngster at his house I would chew bits of paper up and put it in the barrel and shoot at any fly that landed on the living room wall! Another item with memories. I’ll see what I can out together about the dales and try and run it in one of my future instalments, I’ll have a dig about. Soon be the weekend nearly playtime. Thanks for dropping in buddy.

Yes it was a total bolt out of the blue when I saw Dave’s email, it was such a kind and most generous gift. I was so overwhelmed when I opened the box at first I thought they were all Haymaker but then as I read the invoice I could see it was a selection of some great tobaccos, sunset flake, Flanagan flake, Tillerman Flake with obviously the Haymaker. And I should have shown the other tins but was so humbled I forgot, I’ll do it on my next video and explain. I’m going to have to look for another set of shelves to put them on but I’ll pick some up from somewhere. Thank you for dropping in Fathers enjoy your evening and God bless you sir.

Hi Gary yeh the grandfather clock is a beauty, there’s no chime, but my mantle clock which is also mechanical chimes on the hour an half hour. There’s just something special smoking a pipe with just the sound of the grandfather clock just ticking away in the background as it has done for over probably 100 years or more. Dave is a most very generous chap indeed

You’re telling me, I was nigh on speechless at his generosity and certainly wasn’t expecting this. His generosity just goes above and beyond. I’m just a normal guy no one special and for Dave to think of me like this was extremely humbling indeed, I usually just have enough tobacco to about see me through one month to the next and with this generosity and also the amazing gifts from TruckinPiper Bob I can hopefully start and slowly build up a cellar which I’ve never had. glad you said something about not understanding your accent. i watch some pipe and some moto channels, a lot are on your island and i mostly get the English, but the Scotland accent with motovloggers are almost impossible for me. when they do live streams, even the English people ask the Scotts to repeat themself. i learned with listening to you, if i speed up the video, it balances out what my ears hear. My heritage is from Scotland but that was 100 years ago. Most Laing family landed in Canada and are fisherman up there and just a few came to the states. sad to say, our family line is about to end as many did not have kids. but i did think, just maybe i had the gift to understand Scottish, but even you sometimes have a hard time, that made me feel better. thanks
