I also own a 2023 M3 MacBook Pro with the M3 Pro Chip in, 14 inch, didn't get anything like a £710 discount as my employer only offers 1 or 2% off Apple products, and I don't believe Macbooks are included, that said by shopping around I got a brand new and sealed unit for £220 less than it sells for on Amazon, which was £200 less than it sells for on Apple's own website. Total saving of £420 by not buying direct from Apple. I also have a 2017 MacBook Pro A1708 which I keep as a spare laptop. The 2017 macbook pro A1708 model with the butterfly keyboard is notorious for batteries failing and random shut downs. Having fitted 3 replacement batteries to purchased "Faulty" A1708 laptops this is the main cause of random shutdowns especially on this model. The battery replacement isn't overly difficult and a decent battery is only about £67.
