The Skinguard is the best razor in my den bar none. DE shaving for over 20 years now as I started young. The Tatara Nodachi has been sold. Great DE but too aggressive in the end and gave ingrowns. The Karve B plate (and C occasionally) is still the finest DE I’ve ever used and I’ve used all the high end numbers. Hobbyists, unfortunately, do get ‘blinded’ by their purchases. It’s great to be able to see through that!

Yep sure is mate! If they could do an eco friendly Skinguard it would be the biggest selling razor on the planet?

On holiday just now and using the Fusion Power handle with the Skinguard cartridge. As you say, it's ridiculously simple and easy to use without fear of irritation or nicks and cuts. It certainly needs a bit more pressure than a D.E, but love it. Just love my Simpson brushes too👍

I use a Mach 3 when I travel and almost always on my head. I agree it gives an unbeatable shave. However I never ever get ingrown hairs with my straights but I sometimes do with the cartridge. It is so individual. It’s very good that you are helping to remove the stigma in the community! Cheers!

Allowing for differences in humidity, air flown etc, I’m not sure your theory works quite the way you said. When you leave the brush standing, the tips will dry first because the water is drawn down by gravity. Just like on the towel next to you (assuming that any heating's off, or it's hung on a clothes line). But some om the water might be drawn into the glue in the base of the brush knot. Evaporation happens in all directions; any steam just means that the water is warmer (and therefore less dense) than the air around it. Properly aired, I would think that any smell and mold should be avoided anyway after you've dried most of the excess water on the towel.

Yep the towel is your friend!

Simpson Best grade is very unique compared to others. Their pure sucks. The super is like a silvertip and Manchurian is like most other Manchurians. The best is just fantastic! Out of the 11 Simpson brushes I've had, I kept the Commodore X2 Best. Such an awesome knot and my favorite handle of all time!

My expensive brushes only sees good, higher end soaps. I have I think 16 different Simpson brushes, and 5 of them are what I consider higher end. The Chubby brushes are so wonderful though. Enjoy your weekend!!!!

It's a pretty expensive brush but maybe these are legendary brushes for a reason! As you say, you get what you pay for.

The Williams/Palmolive combo is legendary here in the States. Like I said, no artisan soap comes close.

When you against grain using a cartridge razor, I recommend you using gillette atra razor. It’s superb razor.

Isn’t it similar to the sensor?

Wee Scott, cute little thing (looks like a youngster with insufficient food to grow). Maybe y havnt tried, but imo Shavemac is on par with Simpsons with more handle choices, lofts, knots. Enjoy yr weekend, its just 1 month until y can use yr arm again. Good luck.

It seems we are inflicted with the same curse: similar balding pattern and the inability to shave against the grain (I could add wife and children, but we won't go there) . Cheers!

@AnotherCutAbove5 жыл бұрын

@@AnotherCutAbove - How'd the cream compare to Palmolive's stick?
@jmr57075 жыл бұрын
@flash boredom - Hmm. I would've thought the opposite. Creams usually have more glycerin. Hope all is well with you. Miss the jokes😆😂
