A few tips when using Reverb 2: - Add a tiny little bit of mod for a better sound. It basically nudges reverb times around for every reflection, that inhibits build up of resonances and makes the sound more natural. It's specially useful when working with smaller-ish room sizes, that tend to sound a bit too metallic. - If you think the reverb is muddying up the attack of your sound too much, besides adding some pre-delay as shown in the video, turn down ER (Early Reflections). Those are the first few reflections in the reverb, they're more defined and less washy. Tweaking ER also helps with the small room bad sound issue I mentioned above. - Took me some time to understand what Bass and Crossover do, but they're pretty useful for shaping environments: Bass is a multiplier for the decay time for bass frequencies, Cross defines the frequency cutoff below which the Bass knob will affect. It's kinda sorta the reverse of High Damping, but with the possibility of going both ways. That's important because in most natural rooms you'll have bass frequencies sticking around for longer than higher frequencies. - Room size, pre-delay and decay time are all kinda sorta related, in a real natural room. Bigger rooms will have higher pre-delays and longer decay times, usually.

my only noob tip for everyone is click the tempo. Make sure the reverb is same time as tempo. If it's out of rythmn it might sound bad, but not too bad. but too much it will sound bad.

I have, as of late, gravitated toward the genre of ..... future wave (ie Skeler). This genre is known for extreme raw clean reese bass and loads of reverb. Can you one day do a tutorial on how to make a beat in that Skeler style?

How much room size should I put in an outdoor recorded solo acoustic guitar?
@AnotherMonster3 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the sound you're going for and where you want the guitar to sit in your mix. Generally a smaller reverb size will sound closer and a bigger reverb size will sound farther away in the mix. This will be highlighted by volume and some other factors as well

@@AnotherMonster any suggestions for mixing guitar fingerstyle bro?
@AutPen382 жыл бұрын
It depends on how you want it to sound (e.g. upfront, or in the background) in context with other instruments. In some tracks with an acoustic guitar you might want a dry-sounding room (shirt decay times) so that every fret-noise is clear. In another mix that has more important elements you might use a longer reverb that turns the acoustic guitar into atmospheric washes that are almost like pads. Generally speaking, short/small reverbs help things sound like they are front and centre on a stage or in a room, long reverbs from halls/auditoriums are better for atmosphere and backing vocals/instruments.

Most important thing is that you know how to use it and the sounds you can expect to get out of it
