A big tour like The Stones, DMB, FFs the budget will be $2500/day/bus including, Bus (12 berths), Driver, Driver's buy-out (or another bus where all the drivers sleep), Insurance, Fuel, Shore Power, Water, WIFI/Starlink, Tolls/Parking, Cleaning, Pump-outs, Bus Catering (provided by the local promoter on show days) and Re-positioning costs.

Great idea. The cost of ownership (plus the repairs) are much higher when amortized. Just know, you cannot POOP on an entertainer coach (I'll spare you the exception). Otherwise, a great idea. Especially now, as the concert industry is shut down. Rent a bus and have some fun!

@@RVingwithAndrewSteele Hi Andrew. Thanks for your reply. You are correct. ALL entertainer coaches / Tour Buses (buses that carry musicians on tour) have bathrooms. The rule on Tour buses is that Pee is allowed. Poop is not allowed. These buses are designed to take musicians to concert halls and hotels that have bathrooms and dressing rooms (with showers). The black water systems are not designed like an RV black water system. Tour bus black water systems are really simple, easy to use/fix. While technically, it IS possible to Poop in a Tour bus, it is not generally acceptable (sometimes even prohibited or penalized in the bus lease). Best, Rob

@@arghnothingleft I'm a musician&rode in GM coaches,Bluebird conversions for an entertainer he wouldn't stop for any reason&I DID the dirty,The Silver eagle has the SAME black water tanks it had 12 bunks the no poop rule is because they don't want to smell the bus up!..🤮

Here in Spain, everyone in a motorhome RV have to have a seatbelt on wile ok the road, like in the car. So it os not legal to move inside the rig while moving it.

im looking to retire in a 2 to 4 years in the AZ area, looking to buy a prevost and set anchor for the most part, unless i want to go somewhere for a few days, thinking full timer.. i am a CDL holder, do you think your buddy Kyle would hire me part time as a driver for one of his coaches? i think it would be a great way to have something to do and maybe see some live shows if driving bands/artists around. Anyways, another great vid Andrew, and as always, stay safe and ive Sadie some love for me.

it all depends on supply and demand but it's definitely worth submitting an application to Kyle and trying to get your foot in the door. he is a really good dude and I have met a few of his drivers that are really good guys as well. Would definitely be an awesome opportunity to to be on his team. Thanks for all the support Ian!

@@RVingwithAndrewSteele thanks Andrew, Kyle seems like a genuinely nice guy (as do you) thats why i had the thought, since i am planning on setting anchor in AZ somewhere upon retirement, my dad said to me once, "being retired, is the hardest job he ever had, trying to keep busy" i think driving part time for something like that would be a very cool thing to do. i think i will send an email to him and /or send contact via his website in the near future, after retirement i plan on taking about a month to just chill, then who knows.

I'm a CDL-A holder + passenger endorsement. I want to take my kids and nieces and nephews on a road trip. Is it possible to rent an entertainer coach for a week and drive it myself? A coach would be better than an RV because of the number of passengers.

Call them. Just tell them you want to use your own driver and talk to them about insurance. Bands do it sometimes.
