I drove a semi truck on the Lilith Fair tour in the summer of 98, we had 15 trucks and I think 20 tour buses like these for the artists and tour guys/girls. These buses would fly down the highway we’d follow and they would let us know if the cops were ahead with speed traps. Truly great buses

Bravo 🍺 !! My close friend drive tour buses and he had many years in a Big walk in sleeper Pete with a 45 fort flatbed . He said that bus could kick his butt in turns. No scratches, close but none! Kyle thanks for having the faith in him, and Andrew for sharing the clip with us !

Whooaaaa.....that looked like a really fun drive, Andrew! Yes...a huge thank you to Kyle for letting you drive the rig! Unfortunately, 175k is slightly more than our limit. So, we'll just have to salivate and watch you guys drive those things. I do have a flight to Phoenix on Tuesday; I'll be on the ground for about 3 hours. I will probably schedule a shop visit to one of the 2 main used coach dealers there to take a look at one of the 100k rigs.

Been there done that, there's on underpass in Chicago goes under a RR track down and up where the top of the 53 foot trailer scrapes just enough to squeegee the snow off every time. The clearance sign is wrong, but there's no other way to get to that particular shipper.

You had me sweating on that one. Kyle is a better man than I am.....nobody drives my coach 😆. Another great video Andrew (as far as entertainment).. Thanks Kyle

This is so enjoyable to watch because it touches on a bunch of things that I would not even know to do. I have a class A license with a number of endorsements and I knew nothing about this when it comes to motor coach driving. The one endorsement that I do Lack is a public service endorsement which I'm working on. My goal that I'm working on now is owning one of these and making my retirement filled with Adventure when that day comes. The one thing I learned this far is lifting that tag axle when you're rounding a corner

Andrew you started to ask Kyle, what does a tour bus driver make. I am sure it is not as glamorous as everyone thinks it may be. I was as chauffer and I agree with the braking statement, never let them feel the braking and make missing the turn like an adventure, lol.

A bit beyond the scope of your channel admittedly, but I think it would be really educational for a lot of RVers to see an entire video from the master on how to drive super smooth and efficiently like the biggest rockstar in history is in the back!
@superbmediacontentcreator2 жыл бұрын
I have seen (I think) three videos with this bus and love it as it would be the perfect layout for me and my video/photography since it is sort of the bedroom I have now except I could definitely use that booth for voiceovers even now! I'd pull the bunks for a washer/dryer and closet space but otherwise, that aft compartment is perfect for a good computer station, scanner, printer, and serious RAID space.

When I drove coach’s a couple years ago half of our fleet of 24 had over a million miles. A lot of new parts installed. They had 4 full time mechanics, 1 full time parts guy and usually a couple engine and trans ready to go. I never at one time thought any of the coach’s they had were unsafe. I am a retired heavy equipment mechanic but drive part time here and there.

I want to ride/drive a Class-A so bad. I've only had any experience at all in a 30' Class-C and that was an absolute blast, I could only imagine what it's like in a diesel bus with air ride!

One day you’ll own a bus. We had RV’s before getting into busses, there’s really no comparison one you start the engine. The living is the same, but the driving is another thing. We live in our bus full time, and drive 40k miles a year. A bus feels like a luxury sports car, where as a RV’s are just , well, RV’s I drove through that gate, it’s not exactly spacious.

#175 Good afternoon, Andrew. Driving a 66,000 lb. bus is like wheeling a 8,000 ton steamship. I never drove a bus, but have wheeled a 8,000 ton ship which was cool! I didn't hit anything, aye!

Very cool that he let you drive - especially thru the gate ! Cool dude. Andrew; in one of the future videos; would you please do an explanation of the tag wheels - why they exist, how they’re used, what the acronym stands for (I assume it’s an acronym), etc. ? What happens if you forget to put the wheels up before a turn ? What happens if you forget to put the wheels down after a turn and drive a long way with them up ? Yes, I’m forgetful.

@@radradrad tag isn't an acronym: it's just that it "tags" along behind. If it's not dropped, the drive axle could be overloaded, with associated risk to the tyres (yes, I'm British).

Hey andrew i really enjoy all your vids. Keep up the great work, and please do more vids with kyle. I like kyle and if he could cross over all his knowledge and experience with other rv products and actually tell us the truth that would be a first. If its good or if its shit just tell us from a multi point of view. I.e. price, buying,install service etc. that would truely be and industry first. Thank you both!
