Fun fact: the WRX STI comes Stock with all wheel drive, but to pull off all the sliding and stunts they actually converted the car to rear wheel drive. There’s no way to can slide a 250hp awd car

thats not true, there is an interview on youtube with one of the stunt drivers and first shot when baby backs up and drifts around the corner they did that with all wheel drive STI but other wrx cars were converted. interview is called "Baby Driver" 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX Limited FEATURETTE" 5:48

For the record, the car he kept was a 2007 STI Limited. Its basically a full STI made to look like a WRX. The STI is better in every way than a WRX, more power, stronger drivetrain, bigger brakes, etc.

It's been awhile, but in Ansel's case, I believe there were text messages that proved at least one of his accuser's claim.

There was more than one car used. You can see STI logo on the dashboard when he accelerates before the RV overtake. There is some inconsistency as well, in the beginning the gas pedal has a racing cover but when he switches lanes under the bridge it changes to stock and stays that way. So the answer is yes and no :)
