The only trick is being somewhere that servers the correct beverage and either surreptitiously ordering it, or being with people that don't know it's non-alcoholic. You might say "if you have to hide it, you're with the wrong people" and to a certain degree I'd agree. But, the whole thing about being someone who has drank, and wanting to be with people that drink, is not feeling out of place. It's really hard.
