You guys are such good parents and I really mean this with no judgement whatsoever but food before one is not just for fun and it’s actually super important for many reasons!! Yes they waste a lot at first but it prepares them for the transition to food when they turn 1 and it will then need to be their #1 nutrition sourse! It also helps tremendously with their fine motor skills and preventing allergies in foods! I just think that the food before one statement is just a myth and I learned that on Facebook BLW pages! I would recommend joining some there is so much to learn!😊

I can promise you food before 1 is not for fun, it’s setting them up for getting use to foods and developing a taste and setting them up to not have an allergen to certain foods. This is SO IMPORTANT for your little one’s development. After 6 months milk ideally should decrease and food should increase. I promise you do not want a picky toddler. I know it’s your first baby and it’s super scary but don’t let your fears hold your baby back from her development and motor skills! Seriously I can’t stress this enough, mom of 2 and I’m definitely letting more loose with my second baby because I’ve seen the repercussions my own fear has changed development for my own daughter.

The "food before 1 is just for fun" doesn't mean giving her the food is fun, it just means that it doesn't matter, and you don't have to be super strict with what and how often u give her food. ❤

You guys are so great with Skye!! I was a nanny for 25 years and just loved it, but once I couldn’t be a mom, I couldn’t do it anymore. I love kids way too much!!Then I went into healthcare which I love now, also. Both jobs take a lot of patience and caring. Such a great couple!! Enjoy your tome with Skye May before you have another one. I took care of five different sets thru the years!! It’s double the work, but double the fun!! I always wanted twins my whole life, but I would have been happy with just one in my life. It’s okay, I love my husband more than anything in this world!! He is my baby ❤

I have 3 kids my oldest is 4 and my only girl and she looks exactly like me but my two boys I have a 3 and 1 year old and they're both SO different my 2nd child looks just like his dad and my dad but my youngest looks so much like my daughter. So fun to see their personalities show and their ages right now is so much fun. Can't wait to see Skye be a big sister in God's timing ❤ you're great parents

Idk what you guys do but look into baby led weaning. Its messy! But it’s fun and teaches them to feed themselves and works on their reflexes and grasps. You are so right though, food before one isn’t necessarily needed since they get everything from milks. You can do whatever works for you! And that’s great! You are great parents. I have twin boys, and they were my 1st kids ever. Based on my experience, the pregnancy was easier then my daughter, but it's was definitely wild having to go through first time pregnancy and buying things but times 2. Your family is beautiful and I wish you all the best

The only thing about “food before 1 is just for fun” is that once they turn one doctor is like BREASTMILK IS JUST FOR FUN, SOLIDS ARE THEIR MAIN SOURCE OF FOOD! 😅 and it takes them awhile to learn how to eat consistently.
