Costuming for theatre: The most important thing I learned is to "actor proof" the garment. Get the strongest zippers/hooks you can find. Secure the stuffings out of any stress points. If you would 'tack' it for normal wear, sew it in hard for costumes. The actors don't do it on purpose, or through carelessness. They are in a hurry and they have so much on their minds! Acting is super, super stressful and the LAST thing anyone needs is a costume failure. :) If the costume is even a little bit fragile, have a dresser. Then the actor just cooperates and the dresser cares about the costume.

Happy Birthday, Rebecca! FWIW, I enjoy your planning videos and the ones where you focus on one technique for an outfit. I don't consider them filler and am guessing others don't either. If they help you reduce/alleviate burnout, no worries about doing more.

Whoa! Yeah, amazing writer. The only warning I'd give is how she often made murder a real tragedy, not a fun puzzle to solve. There's one her novels and one short that I think of frequently because of the impact of their endings, and I read them decades ago.

I don't know if you have seen the new Sense and Sensibility adaptation that Hallmark did, but they went in a more fantastical "it was a design choice" a la Bridgerton with the costumes, and Elinor has a light blue and pink overgarment somewhere between a spencer and pelise that made me think of you because I know it's a color combination you love!

Happy birthday! Hope you're having a great weekend! You really sound like you should take some time off! The edge of burn out doesn't sound like a good place to be. I know that isn't always a solution or possible but you really need to look at everything you do and at least slow some of it down. At least try to be nice to yourself with deadlines

Happy Birthday! Wishing you the very best of years! May I suggest the Lady Darby historical mystery series by Anna Lee Huber. A strong female protagonist who overcomes an abuts or marriage to become a portrait artist and silver of mysteries. It’s set in the regency period. Another is the Sebastian St Cyr mysteries series close in time to the other I mentioned. He’s a nobleman who solves the murders of poor people and others who can’t speak for themselves. Also a strong female lead who appears in the series who is his match in every way. Love the video so far ❤ Edit after I finished watching the video… I’m not one to ask personal questions of the KZbinrs I watch, so I’m always eager to learn about y’all when you answer Q & A’s. I really appreciate you sharing some sort of your life with us. I love your content so much. It’s informative, you’re great at explaining things about it seeing. I love your energy you bring to your content and always appreciate Dora and Lion content. I hope you find it easy to follow through on being kinder to yourself in whatever form that takes including if it’s less content for social media. I’d rather you take care of your needs first. I’d hate to lose you as a content creator. I’m wondering if you ever plan to do Kirsten’s travel dress I think it was. Whichever outfit of hers was like a Swedish fold costume. I really loved that one! Take care.

Thanks for the recommendations - those are both on my to-read list. And I don't plan to do her Dirndl outfit at this time. I'd say the next most likely Kirsten outfit I'd want to do is possibly On the Trail, though I don't have any current Kirsten plans.

I have seen a few youtubers burning out, they either stop or reduce the number of videos they make. Maybe consider only making one video a week or you just miss one week. Your health and mental health is so important. Take care.
