BUT BEOFRE ALL OF THAT, I VIVIDLY RECALL THAT FOR THE LONGEST TIME VIOLET WAS 100% AGAINST ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE CROWN. THEY’D BRING THE CROWN OUT AT THEIR PLACE AND TRY TO GET HER GET HER TO WEAR IT AND SHE WOULD LITERALLY LEAVE THE PROPERTY. OVER TIME, WE ALL BECAME MORE AND MORE CONVINCED THAT THE SCANDAL OF HER WEARING IT WOULD GET HER THE RIGHT ATTENTION BC BY THEN, AS HER FRIENDS AND BIGGEST SUPPORTERS WE ALL KNEW FOR A FACT THAT IF VIOLET GOT ON DRAG RACE, SHE WOUKD WIN. PERIOD. YOU JUST KNEW THAT THIS YOUNG FIERCE C*NT HAD A RARE GIFT…..AND IT WORKED AND WE WERE RIGHT. NOW HOW I GOT THE CROWN BACK TO SHARON. I TOLD MY THIEVING FRIENDS TO BRING THE CROWN TO ME IN FLORIDA BC BY THEN I WOULD HAVE GATHERED THE INFORMATION NEEDED TO SEND THE CROWN BAVK AND BEING THAT IM RESPONSIBLE AND AN HONEST TRUSTWORTHY F A G, I’D MAKE SURE IT’D GET TAKEN CARE OF. I DONT HAVE IT, I JUST KNOW WHERE IT IS AND I CAN HELP GET IT RETURNED.” AND FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT AT THE ICONIC FLAMING O RESORT, I HUNG OUT WITH ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAV DRAG QUEENS GOT ALL THE INFO I NEEDED, TALKED TO SHARON GOT SHARONS ASSISTANTS INFO GOT AND GOT IN TOUCH TO FIND OUT WERE TO SEND THE CROWN. i agree with the idea that drag was made to be counterculture and while it is great that it has gone mainstream and has helped the lgbtq+ community become more accepted it has come to be expected to be watered down. there is no more actual grunginess or filth or rebellion. the grittiness is gone and i think the way to bring it back is to educate younger kids on the whole scene of drag. people only want to look at the pretty outfits but they dont take the time to fully understand it.
