When you live with an emotional abusive person you lose your entire self... what you eat, how you dress, who your friends are. Lived with one for 19 years and almost 14 years after divorce I still struggle with the emotional abuse from that 19 years of control.

Hello Jenna! How brave of you to answer those questions. I live alone since my husband died. Initially it was very hard! However time passes, and now I am more than happy to be alone. If I need people I go out, generally there are people who will talk with you. If not, then just being in a different place is okay too. Take care! You are still young, so plenty of time for everything yet to come, for you to discover. ❤

Same except with knitting as crochet is a bit beyond my skills at the moment. I crocheted a super uneven chain last year & decided to revisit crochet somewhere down the line lol. But Jenna's videos always brighten my day & make me at least +want+ to be motivated, which is still something.

its comforting to know you too experience depression and anxiety and frequently get overwhelmed. i feel like there are too many times i get overwhelmed with something like a craft project and just give up the whole thing because it just feels like too much. so to know that happens to you too but you still find a way around it is so hopeful!!!

Things change so much throughout your twenties. You really discover who you are. Sometimes--ALOT of the times your world views change. The things you thought were important at 19 definitely aren't as important at 26 (speaking for myself). Heck, you even learn things about yourself you never knew, and in the midst of that people will inevitably breakup. I recently discovered I may actually never want kids, being with a partner who doesn't hold that same view would mean the relationship would have to come to an end, it just is how it is.

And then your thirties happen, and everything changes again. I calmed down a lot, and I became secure in who I am and what is and isn’t for me. I’m now looking forward to the adventure that my forties will be (I’ll be 39 this August). I’m sure they will be awesome.

Thank you for sharing yourself here. I live alone, and I love it! I love the freedom of doing whatever I want. Whenever there is another person around, I shut down and feel like I can't be myself. But when I'm by myself, I have a really rich life and love my own company and all the different aspects of my personality--the inner child, the wise woman, the creative thinker, etc. I cook for myself, and then I enjoy the meal. I don't want to brush my teeth, and then I take myself by the hand and say, "Here, we can do this." I talk to myself a lot, and I answer myself, and I feel that all this is a healthy way to be. I love my life. ❤

My friends have been together since high school and they just broke up, the guy has been staying on mine and my boyfriends couch a lot the last two weeks since it happened. I got back in to knitting at the end of last year because of you so you are a massive figure in the community for me at least. Also idk if you'll ever do a follow up q&a and this question is super personal so don't awnser if you aren't comfortable: Since the biggest reason for your split was sort of growing appart/changing in different directions over many years time, I wonder if this outcome was on your mind at all when you got married, since that was not that long ago. Recently found your channel and I’m so happy I did! The question about where you see yourself in 12 months I was thinking, she definitely didn’t envision buying a hoarder house and completely demoing it!! I get so excited every time you post a new video, even just tearing down walls, it’s somehow satisfying and enjoyable! 😂 Don’t let the haters get to you about “I can’t believe you got rid of this and that”, you have to do what you need to, to have a healthy environment in that house.
