I think for the price tag, Disney might be able to increase the interactive quotient by offering complimentary outfits (costumes) for arriving guests to fully undergo the transformation. You could choose before hand from a variety of the galaxy’s (humanoid) characters and Disney could even add a Bibbidi Bobbity Boutique style “salons” on the cruise you could pay extra to further the transformation. If the whole thing is to go all in LARPing, why not enable even the most casual fan the opportunity to not break the illusion for others. At the end of the sailing, they could offer guests the option to purchase the costume. It would follow the age old model of drug dealers (and anyone selling anything to parents with kids) the first hit is free, but the lifetime addiction will cost you…everything.

OK! So not giving out a costumes for free. But to loan one for the duration of you stay. That would really help. It would be nice of they had a wardrobe studio that guest could go to to get into costume just before they board the Starcruiser as well. And when you consider the amount of money they're charging for this thing. A costume loaner service should be included in the package. That way, it would encourage people to dress up for their stay and make the experience much better.

This seems like a comic con/escape room/video game but you sleep there, dont see sunlight, eat questionable food, and question all your life's choices because you could go on a week's long trip abroad with top hotels, restaurants, and attractions in place of 2 days in a disney made experience. I mean if you want a disney experience, just go all out in actual disney world for a week. Eat at all the restaurants and stay in a suite and actually save money by comparison.

@@DeathandBeeZ well it's not exactly comparable like that. You can go to Universal instead of Disney World and save money, but if you want the *Disney* theme park experience, then you're going to Disney World. If you want to have a two day LARP session, then the Starcruiser is a go-to because nowhere else offers a two day Star Wars LARP session at this scale. The money you spend isn't for a hotel, but an experience you can't get elsewhere, it's just not fair to say "you could save money by NOT going here and instead doing a completely different experience" because that's like saying "you could save money by going to the beach instead of a 7 day Disney World trip" because people don't go to the beach for the same reason they go to Disney World.

@Saviorsrdenver2 жыл бұрын
I actually *think* they've done better than that. Note how everyone has an earpiece? I'm guessing the actors have support cast members watching to let them - silently to you - know who's up for what as they wander in real time. So you give your greeter a basic idea of what you're out for, which they put into a profile for you. If yours says "No interactions, please" the actor will get stopped and told to move on. (If you say you're here for 'business' or say you want to be a scoundrel, or you're looking to free the galaxy, or what have you those actors will be directed to bring you in.) Which, come to think of it, probably *helps* explain the cost. If there's two or three people to assist every live actor 'backstage' watching the public cameras. Your magicband probably also assists with tracking you, since I have little doubt it can do that in the confines of the Starcruiser.
@KaijuInvadesNYC2 жыл бұрын
@@Saviorsrdenver while that sounds great, in theory, I seriously doubt they have people monitoring & guiding each performer individually at all times. The ear piece is probably for more standard communication...time for your break, etc. At the end of the day, it's still a job. Also, how are these puppet masters telling who's who on a dime like that? Play by play announcers in sports get paid big bucks to call games with a fraction of the amount of people who would be "on the ship" and no one there is wearing a jersey with a huge number on it. I don’t know if you can answer this, but what if in your party people want to take different roles? Do you have to separate from those members in your party? What if they’re minors like 10 year olds? They want to be first order and you want to be a smuggler? Is that possible or does a group have to stay together?
@uglystupidloser2 жыл бұрын
Very good question. Adults who went togetherand chose different story lines weren't allowed to go to certain events together. I can't imagine they would let children sign up for events alone.

so to get on rise, is it cheaper to use genie+ or book galactic cruiser?
@leahgomez72482 жыл бұрын
Genie+ is miles cheaper in comparison like $30 a person
@uglystupidloser2 жыл бұрын
Are you serious? ... Let me see. It's the Galactic Starcruiser. You're welcome.
@its_clean2 жыл бұрын
At this point the easiest way to get on Rise is just to buy the entire state of Florida

So this is a pretty cool and expensive larp weekend
@glassapple59032 жыл бұрын
I would find the price tag slightly more reasonable if EVERYTHING on that ship was free (food, drinks, “premiums” on the ship like the captain’s table), or at the very least, half the price of things in the rest of the parks, if not less. I can understand how expensive maintenance can be, and those cast members deserve a hefty paycheck for the effort they put in, but in no way should that add up to 6,000, and definitely not more than that.

It's ludicrous that nonalcoholic drinks aren't on the house. It only costs 10 cents to fill up a soda. I used to work at a restaurant and the second fattest profits come from drinks, right after the main courses.

Ok so I wonder for people who are not on this cruise what will happen for the star war rides ??they are already very long . if you are just visiting the park for a day or not saying on property I don't think you will have a chance to get on these rides.

So question, could I walk into the star cruiser without a reservation and just walk around the lobby area and look around? That would be possible with other resorts because they allow you to dine there without a room reservation so I’m just wondering if they allow that here.
@kristenroberts45022 жыл бұрын
I am SHOCKED you get allowed out just to smoke! Also ha I see Ally’s hair!

the fact that main characters like chewy don't have any real impact on your day is disappointing. imagine being alongside Han Leia and Luke while trying to take down the Death Star or empire instead of blue faced Kathleen Kennedy and matt the mechanic lol

Will you be using data for the My Disney Parks app? Or does it rely on Disney wifi? We have limited data on our family plan.
@robertmask22232 жыл бұрын
This is something I personally will never do. It sounds neat, just not six grand neat. If I had $6000 bucks to drop I would scratch off a bucket list item and stay at the Grand Floridian. Or better yet, go on an actual cruise some place like the Med where I can actually see other countries. It's actually kind of sad when you think about how many people are not going to be able to experience this. You could take part in the Star Trek experience in Las Vegas for about $30 bucks.
@rjohnson801002 жыл бұрын
If the Star Trek Experience was still around. That thing closed down 14 years ago now man... Used to take my friends there for fun back when I lived in Vegas when it was open.
