I saw the two bolt with arp studs and figured it was 400 based, especially after I saw it run. It revs like it's got a 3.48 stroke crank. This car runs!

The 7.5 would last one hard launch with sticky tires and if it didn't break it would be making awful noises 7.5 GM 10 bolts are junk the 8.5 GM 10 bolt is much much better so is a Ford 8.8

I love your car man it looks and sounds incredible thank you for sharing you gave me some ideas on my next project... I put a 4 bolt main 355 with13 1/2 to 1 TRW Pistons with radical hydraulic cam with a Pete Jackson noisy Gear Drive and a TCI Streetfighter and a B&M 3200 stall and a 410 gear in a sharp-looking 85 Pontiac Grand Prix it looks like a sleeper until its started it was Crazy on the street..

Thanks for a closer look at the car it’s a great build. My guess is the motor could possibly be destroked to a 377 they will rev to the moon just like that engine does...

That one's big inch and revs like that they stroked it up not down the 377 does it due to the short stroke this one does it with a longer stroke lol a 421 I think it said too bad those 400 blocks are getting harder to come by anymore that are good anyway they only made em ten yrs and even then it was limited to only some cars and trucks motor homes shit like that where it needed the stump puller long stroke low Rpms you can only go so big with the bore once you hit that wall then where do you go ? Stroke stroke but damn it's the head flow and cam combo that gets it spinning that fast

Flat top 400 with a roller cam. You got good heads on it. Large chamber cc for pump gas with a 3000 stall.

My 434 stock block with afr 235 heads 11.2 compression pumpgas 93. 264 -272@ 50 678 648 109 lobe sep, super victor intake ,1000 hp pro systems carb 4150 style , 1 7/8 headers 3 inch exhaust , 10 inch ptc converter, 4.11 gears, 28x10 tire, weight 3450 Nova, Car went 9.79 @ 136 1.39 60ft. Nothing special. I have some videos on it , click my profile. Proven combo on the cheap. Car also ran 6.32 @ 114 in the 1/8

There isn't nothing more badass than a Monte SS and a 66 Chevelle. The car looks good, sounds good, and rubs out nice. You definitely need efi. Our class wining 2nd place overall drag week car gets 11 mpg makes 2500 rwhp and its drove to work on a regular and all steel body other than hood.
