Funny first period story: my sister and I were raised by a single father and we are a year and a half apart. It was Easter Sunday, and I was in church when my first period started, so I go to my dad and he asked a family friend for a pad, then when we got home my sister got her first period. So it’s now Sunday night and my dad is freaking out cause we both started out first periods hours apart. He went to the store to get us stuff, but didn’t know what to get so he came home with one of EVERYTHING! Years later he asked me, what wings meant…, apparently that really confused him. Bless his heart!

whoever wrote the message about struggling to make friends because of their anxiety, i feel you!!! this week has been so difficult because i had drama with two close friends and it was a reminder that i don’t have all that many other friends to lean on. i want to make more friends but small talk and actually meeting people stresses me out and makes me so uncomfortable. i’ll be your friend!!
@amberj39413 жыл бұрын
I actually stopped being friends with someone after 20 years. It was hard to part ways but I communicated that I felt like the way she spoke to me would hurt my feelings. I also let her know after awhile that the constant negativity would feel draining. I wanted to be there for her like I had for years. She was always going through something and I would do my best to help her through it. However once I had a newborn and I was exhausted I couldn’t respond as much or be available for the long phone calls. So she got angry that I wasn’t around as much or free to go out for the night. I was so tired I didn’t even want to go out to be honest. So I found myself making excuses to not go out. I finally got some courage and just let her know that I was in a hard place myself. Taking care of a new baby is exhausting. The expectations she had for me to be the same friend were making me feel guilty. It put so much extra strain on me. I didn’t feel like she was supportive when I needed her back. It started to feel like a one way street friendship. She needed to vent, ok, but I did too sometimes. So I reached a point where I decided to put me and my baby first. I couldn’t deal with the push and pull of her emotions. It actually felt lifting to let that relationship go, I knew it was best for me. I’d been trying to help her for so long. I just couldn’t anymore. It’s been maybe 2 years now. I do miss her at times but I remind myself how much I went through and how much time she took. I just don’t want to go back to that place. It was so hard to cut off I need to let it stay off. But it’s hard on both people I think.
@aryl6843 жыл бұрын
I support you so much. I relate a lot tbh, some people make you feel like shit when you’re putting yourself first for the first time. You made the right choice putting you and your baby first. God bless you and your baby xx
@frenchtoast46303 жыл бұрын
I totally get what ur saying but I would reach out just let her know ur still there for her. I know it was hard at times but if you’re that person someone can lean on, it can be a good thing. Try to tell her more of how you feel. You said it’s been two years that’s more than enough time for her to understand what you were feeling. I always think of this verse “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians6:2. Amber continue to be there for the ones that need you even for the ones who don’t show it back. Because God sees your kind heart ❤️ God bless you :)
@victorialisa_3 жыл бұрын
@@frenchtoast4630 sometimes with toxic people if you reach out to them you’ll get sucked back into their world again- I had to cut off my cousin (who I regarded as my best friend for years) because it was a one way street- I felt like I would move mountains for her and bend over backwards but she never gave me the same energy. There is a lot of other things she did and said to me too but it would take too long to explain. I sent a long text to her about how I was feeling and she basically told me that she didn’t see a problem with how she behaves and she thinks I’m overreacting. I know if I were to reach out to her again nothing would change and she would be the same. Some people you just gotta let go and pray for them and wish them the best.
@amberj39413 жыл бұрын
@@aryl684 awe thank you! It was so hard to do any I felt bad, but I knew it was the right decision in my heart it was time to let it go. I think it is hard for the person letting go too. Even though we made the decision it’s not easy.
@amberj39413 жыл бұрын
@@victorialisa_ that’s what I would be most afraid of as well, if I reached out again, as much as I miss the good times… I don’t miss a lot of what the friendship was. I spent so much time explaining how I was feeling before I cut it off. I didn’t want her to feel bad but I wanted her to understand and hopefully it could provide some closure for her. I let her know I care about her and I do hope she has a great life with good people in it. I just didn’t want that to be me in the end. Truthfully I knew it was toxic. My mom had mentioned a few times to me how she was worried because I put so much into that relationship, heck more than my actual relationship with my husband at the time. I still care about her, I just learned to care about me a little more. Becoming a mom made me prioritize what was helping my life and what was hurting it. I’m sorry you had to cut off your cousin, I’m really close with my cousins, more like siblings. I can’t imagine it’s easy but you knew it was better for you in the end.

I wasn't feeling my best this morning and thought that I would just really love to watch something positive and comfortable, opened youtube and the first video recommended was this one ❤ how perfect... thank you Jess for the positivity and kindness you spread ❤ One important thing regarding honey in tea: Honey should not be heated above 40° Celsius, because it loses all its vitamins and becomes the same as normal sugar. Keeping in mind, that a single bee has to fly the distance of the whole world to produce one spoon of honey, I think it would be so much nicer if we don't put honey in our hot drinks. So instead maybe use agave, rice sirup or stevia, it's just as healthy :) Hope you don't take this as rude, it came from a place of love ❤
