14:09 the resentment question. Oof. That hit hard. My husband is active duty Army SF. I have turned down job offers, started my own business and feel like I am constantly in second place to such a demanding job. They are selfless men with selfish jobs and it’s so easy for the spouse to feel forgotten or left behind. We are approaching 10 years of marriage and often repeat the argument that I show resentment toward my husband because of missed potential, opportunities, bringing in a paycheck, etc. It is the strangest joy to be home with my family and fulfilling life meets self-esteem roller coaster. A hugely hidden piece of the military lifestyle I’m trying to bring more attention to. ❤

Andrew definitely could see the shift in emotion after talking about your dad. Those feelings are still so there, hugs to you.

Y'all openness and honesty about your life in the dark time, kids to what Andrew loves to call it sexy time needs to be bottled and sold. So many hide it and can be ashamed/embarrassed to talk about it. Thank you for hopefully helping some know it's normal and ok to talk openly about all these normal adult topics. Blessings!

My husband and I have ready the Ruthless Elimination of Hurry as well as To Hell with Hustle and (I would highly recommend) The frantic family. It has changed our lives for the better, we have little kids your kids same ages and adding in a Sabbath and being intentional about our family goals and rallying call has been game changing! Great Job!

Sometimes you need to forgive over and over until it really happens. Talk to God about it as soon as the resentment starts to slip back in.

Shewww the resentment & forgiveness is SPOT ON! But man is it hard! I thank the Lord He helps us through! But forgiveness must be followed with forgetting if we truly want to get past it… allowing the Lord to cast it as far as the East is from the west! Thank you for that insight! And for speaking about your faith! 💜

Totally unrelated. As a Bama fan I went to the Vandy game in hopes I would see y’all. I spent half the game looking for you on the sidelines and the other half I watched my husband on the verge of a mental breakdown. lol 😂 Y’all are so impressive to me. You have done so much for so many people and I just want to say thank you.

The resentment part is not solely on the person. Especially if the other person that is doing it and not correcting the issue then it also sits on them also.

Can you post a book list that doesn’t necessarily focus on parenthood but just spirituality and self improvement? 🙏🏻❤️

I believe the question about pain was referring to the emotional agony life can sometimes throw to a marriage. Not literal physical pain. 😅❤
