I was very fortunate in jail. I was only there 8 days but I was immediately taken in by a group of girls who fed me, shared with me, made me comfortable and they were very nice. I got out the day we received our commissary and I divided it between everyone who helped me, which was nearly every person in the pod.

As to women fighting: I read an interview with a bouncer, who said women are much worse in a fight. When two men fight, they're focused on each other, so if you get them apart you can usually calm them down. Women are relentless. Once a fight between two women starts - according to this bouncer - they will not let up, and they will fight anyone who tries to break them up. The guy said he had been Maced on more than one occasion. I'm not surprised a woman would attack a male guard.

My sister and brother are MMA fighters/instructors and they basically said the same. They put it down to the fact that men tend to know the damage they can do, the damage they can receive in a fight. Women being lighter and usually physically less powerful can wail at each other for a long time without breaking jaws and ribs.

It's so funny that everyone gets so uncomfortable with being nude in front of each other showering.....when I got arrested and booked into county, they did group strip searches and one girl that had apparently been through it before joked around and made the CO uncomfortable lol. Then in the showers that same chick and 1 other girl started singing call me maybe and twerking in the shower lol. I was only in 3 days but I'll never forget that lol, women twerking and singing in the shower while jail. 7 years later (arrest free) I still remember that and it's so funny. Women are hilarious and now I have no shame in nudity lol.

Men Prisoners were occasionally paraded in front of a Female Pod door at the Oklahoma Holding Center in Chickasha. The 4 inch slit window 5 foot off the floor. "Splat' "Splat" "Splat" "Splat" I don't know how they did it. A set of 4 female sex organs pressed up against the small window. I guess they were really horny or thought it was funny to screw with our heads. The things you see in Prison that no one would believe. Things you can not un see. I wonder if they did the same thing to the Guards.
@potatobutt67364 жыл бұрын
...So you’re saying, that while you and other women were showering, they went OUT OF THERE WAY to BRING MEN FROM ANOTHER FACILITY TO A FACILITY FOR WOMEN, WITH NO RHYME OR REASON TO IT, and these men stood there and watched you all SHOWER??? I don’t know if I’m reading that incorrectly. If I’m not, that I’d one of the most bizarre screwed up things I’ve ever heard. I’ve heard some horror stories from friends of mine, and anecdotes from books/documentaries/activism speeches about prison and jail abuse, but this is so unbelievably upsetting. There must be some way to put in a tip about this, or even contact a media outlet or activist group that is willing to do some investigation into that place. That’s absolutely sickening and I would consider that cruel and unusual punishment. Seriously. That doesn’t sound like “oh jail/prison is just like that” kind of story. I seriously hope everyone forced to deal with that gets justice

Community showers and toilets! Very similar to Army showers and toilets. We had a trailer at one point for toilets. You walk in on the end of the building, then down both sides were basically holes cut into the top of holding tanks down each side. One long tank down each wall with holes cut into the top. Imagine 20 holes down each side. No curtains. Now walls to separate one from another. Now imagine being overseas in 100 degree temps, no AC, at times 50% of the troops had some stomach bug. We called it “screaming piss ass”. At the time is was pretty horrible, now there’s a bit of humor involved.

Around 5:28 and your start off saying Commander Queen said female inmate have less contact with family and friends on the outside than male inmates. Then you said inmates family not able to visit on a daily basis. I just wanted say that while I did time in Carson City, Nv. (WSCC), which was next to (NSP), I noticed for a lot of inmates and at time for all of them getting a visit regularly is the worst thing that happen. Because the visit only reminded them that they were stuck behind Concrete & Steel and were unable to be with or protect their loved ones. Which serves to make your time a lot harder. I was lucky because I was from Las Vegas Nv. so I didn't have to think about my family & friends so much. The worst thing that happened to me in prison was I received a big manilla envelope full old pictures of my brother and his obituary on Christmas Eve, he died the 1st week of November and the fckn cops knowing what was in the envelope decided to hold my mail to insure that I got that lump of coal for Christmas. Other than that and it being so god awful boring I actually had fun in Prison... I shouldn't have to tell you how fckn boring it is in prison, and how minautinouse everything is...same walls/same yard/same chow and same faces...And the only good or EZ time I ever did in prison was the time that I slept. TY for the video lil chicky...

On a level 4 yard in California state prisons like Folsom, Soledad, pelican bay and current gladiator school, Corcoran the shot caller of whatever race you're supposed to run with especially in the wood pile, the shot caller will hand you a shank and tell you who he wants you to plunge that shank into and if you don't do it, you'll get shanked later on by your own people. The best place to carry on such an execution would be the showers as the gunner in the tower with the AR-15 assault rifle dosen't often have a clear shot at you ( oh and if you are shot during the act of a shanking and you survive, you will be charged 12 bucks out of the money on your books for the bullet they used on you- and then you get a 115 on top of it). Also, while toss ups and shake downs on dorms are regularly conducted by the correctional officers, still, it is mandatory that you have access to a shank at all times and they have a hands off policy where you don't get into fist fights where the only choices you have with those you have problems with is to either kill them or leave them alone. Yup, when coming to higher level yards at California state prisons, you better bring a knife to the yard. Jessica, was your prison anything like that?

I can't believe everyone isnt issued shower slides. Also that you don't get an indigent care package. I have only ever known one person that's been to Prison, my little sister. She was in a women's prison in Michigan and there they issue everyone shower shoes which are actually the same shoes you wear for everything. They are cheap ugly nasty plastic slides. Also if you have no money you claim indigent and you get a care package like once a week or once a month, I don't really remember. It's the same as all the county jails that I have had family friends or myself in. I only know about Michigan and Florida, but it's the same. You are not allowed regular shoes, only the slides that are issued to you. The indigent care packages are all basically the same, you get soap, shampoo, lotion, powder, a crappy toothbrush, toothpaste, roll on deodorant, a few sheets of paper, a couple of stamped envelopes, and a mini pencil that's it. Everyone can only wear your issued jumpsuit, different colors depending on misdemeanor, felony, or trustee. Sometimes colors vary in different counties or state. You can wear a white tee shirt or thermal shirt under your jumpsuit but must have jumpsuit on at all times except in bed. You can also only have white underwear, bras, and socks. If you come in with any colored undergarments or socks you had to take them off.

@@Lauren-uq1xg oh Lauren, that's incredibly abusive to deny a young woman feminine hygiene products. As a father and a man he should be ashamed of himself, but as a police officer, that makes it even that much worse. I'm sorry that happened to you and that he's still part of your life. That has got to be very difficult. I hope you are surrounded with the love and stability, that you were denied as a child.

Angie Stone I'm happy to day I did adult adoption last year in December I am now 21 and with my adopted parents now! My biological mom will always be apart of my life and so will her husband who is a cop because I have two brother who are still with them and I love those children dearly!

Hi Jessica, love you and your channel just subscribed so will watch more, a question if you have time please. In prison do you get issued a job, such as cleaners I think you call them janitors in the USA. If you refuse to do a job because let’s face it your in prison so what are they going to do…put you in prison, are there any reprisals for you if you refuse and if so what are they. X

I think the women's prison themed movies that were so popular in the 70s and 80s gave a lot of people the wrong idea.😆

The worse you hurt a child, and the younger that child is, the worse however many years you have in this life should be. I agree, and like this video.
