I just want to let you know, I could not have found your channel and videos at a better time in my life. In August, my BD got arrested for the second time in our daughters 2 year life and followed to December where he was given a 5 year Prison sentence. I lost all hope and followed my best friends father to a city 6 hours from home, where I knew nobody, was isolated, manipulated and controlled while also introduced to a lot of things I wish I never had been and found myself in a highly abusive situation. He’s in also in jail currently, God came in at the right time, and my BD’s extended family swept in as a saving grace and practically pulled me out of a situation that I don’t know if I ever would have been able to get my own self out of. It’s only been 2 weeks, I’m weak, recovering and trying to get my life together while also taking care of my beautiful 2 year old daughter who needs her mommy happy and healthy. I needed this. I needed you. A sign, a simple understanding that my situation wasn’t SOOO far off from the every day life I like to think other people live and I just want to thank you for your videos, and your love and support for all of us going/ gone through such toxic troubling times. There is hope! You’ve shown me this in even the few videos I’ve watched thus far. I couldn’t be more grateful that I came across you when I did. Because that easily could’ve been my reality and I’ve been too close for comfort. Thank you for sharing what you do!! I wish I could be best friends with you because you remind me so much of me!! Haha anyways I’m rambling, I needed to finally post this comment because you’ve inspired me much more than you could ever imagine!!

I really like the way you tell your stories, very genuine, articulate and authentic. I've noticed some storytellers repeating themselves 2,3,4 times, seems like they are trying to stretch the video. I really like hearing the day to day prison stories. I just find it facinating hearing how they are run, about programs, hustles, and the whole commissary experience lol. From was available to what you made with it. You are even making me think about volunteering at a prison. The more I hear the more I realize that the only difference between a convict and everyone else is bad luck and bad timing because but for the grace of God back when I was drinking I easily could have ended up in jail. Thank you so much for sharing. When my niece gets a little older I'm going to show her your videos. You're a beautiful woman and I'm sure she won't guess what your story is about. I think that is a good lesson.

Craving ice can be a sign of low iron. With or without anemia. You can have low iron but not have anemia
@blixtal49755 жыл бұрын
ArmySister2 & if you do have low iron and regular iron (ferrous sulfate) supplements make you nauseous like they do me, try asking a pharmacist for ferrous gluconate (I think that’s how it’s spelled) it is so much easier on you and will make you less nauseous (if that’s an issue) and also drink OJ or take a Vitamin C gummy or whatever right after you take the iron, it helps your body absorb the iron you take
@TheArmybrat125 жыл бұрын
Amy Blixt yup. Unfortunately due to some of my other health issues I don’t digest oral iron at all. It just makes me super nauseous. I get IV iron infusions. I have low iron WITH anemia.

A state psychiatric hospital is kinda like prison. Crapy blankets, no privacy, no water that you can get on your own, nasty food, you're forced to wake up at 6 am to shower, can't call when you want, scary people who may be your roommate. You can't control the temperature. I haven't been to prison / jail, but I have been to a state psychiatric hospital and its very similar.

Prison is much worse, but the basic structure is the same as the military. However, that is only when we are deployed or in training. If we are CONUS (Continental US) we got up for PT, did our jobs and went home/barracks. The biggest two differences I noticed from deployment vs. what people who I knew went to prison was are: 1. Even when deployed, we still had a measure of individuality. 2. We would get some damn good meals if the locals liked us.
