@@rickiebee6011 As a "horse girl" all through my former school days, and a current horse girl now (that will never change) I feel aptly qualified to answer this question: A "horse girl" is someone who is obsessed with horses, talks about horses to anyone that will listen, has horse posters, stickers, horse art, and spends all of their time at the barn riding and/or spending time with horses instead of hanging out with friends or doing normal middle school/high school kid things. Other people that aren't horse people don't understand the obsession, therefore we're just labeled "the weird horse girl"
@laura__55445 жыл бұрын
@@elizabeths6704 I don't think it usually means horsy, as in appearance, but rather girls who are really into riding horses. There's a stereotype that they're super weird, not just normal girls who happen to like horses.

A self-employed woman who works from home is not a "housewife" just because she's married. Not that there is anything wrong with being a homemaker! I just hate this idea that when a woman gets married she becomes a "wife" before anything else. Plus, "housewife" is a super outdated term, especially as domestic responsibilities become more evenly divided and as more woman work outside the home and more men decide to be homemakers or stay-at-home dads.
@ruto693zelda845 жыл бұрын
I run my own full time business from home. But I'm no housewife. I do most housework and cleaning because it just makes sense... I get to relax at home all day while my husband works 12+ hour days. Nothing wrong with it!
@alyasl.33505 жыл бұрын
Honestly my ideal job would be one I can do mostly from home, and while being at home also taking care of the house/plants/cooking etc! That would be perfect. And I honestly couldn't care less if someone called me a housewife. Of course I don't agree with the dated assumptions coming with the word housewife, but if I am happy with how my life is, I really wouldn't care at all.
@Sahar-style5 жыл бұрын
I don't know why we still think cooking for the family is "housewife" grade, and saying it in a degrading way. Yet when the husband cooks we see it as a "contribution" to the partnership. We should stop this kind of talk. With that said, I really admire the way you dealt with the assumptions without being offended, you are really a cool gal! 😍😘

@@leighannsays Cooking is definitely not "housewifey" in a negative connotation...everyone, including you guys , has to eat, and i see it as supporting you both... preparing a meal while he has been away all day, because your job is physically in the same location as your kitchen is not the same as " chaining you to the stove"... Cooking is a fun and challenging way to express creativity and show support and love. Its actually based a lot in science..once you figure out how certain ingredients work together to obtain your desired results, it's fun to make up your own recipes! Honey, it doesn't matter how you live, how you worship, how your married life is, and how you grew up... People wouldn't be satisfied, someone would complain or hate... You be true to you. You'll never please everyone, and from a 48 yr old self-reformed people pleaser, don't let anyone change who you are inside. Enjoy this journey, dear!

You, thataylaa and RachhLoves are my favourite YT channels! You ladies are like *REAL* people and seem like YT is important to you, of course, but not *the MOST* important thing to you which, personally, I think is a great quality. Keep up the wonderful channel gf!

Oh, I just loved this so much! I really respect how you are both open and honest but are firm on your boundaries. Also, I got unnecessarily excited when you said you are an INFP because I am too. Hahaha.

Agreed in that this is THE best assumption video I have seen so far! And contrary to what a lot of people are saying , I don’t think you should do a “part two” ...... just like having the boundaries you have I think this was just the right amount of disclosure :). We got to know so much more about you yet you still had a very clear line protecting your privacy. I feel like a part two would be overkill.

I gotta say I don’t really have many assumptions but my husband sure seems to lol whenever he hears your voice he asks “are you watching that LeighAnn girl again? It’s so weird you watch her”. Not that there is anything wrong with your videos but because we are such opposites lol. But I like you as a person and I think your videos are fun. You have an awesome and genuine vibe about you. Thanks for sharing.

Cooking Advice- find methods of cooking you’re comfortable with instead of focusing on recipes. Example- find seasoning blends you enjoy for chicken, and methods you enjoy for starches and vegetables and then just food roulette every night! Also- taco stuffed peppers! Once you find your groove in cooking- you won’t need a recipe because you’ll be the chef! 💕

1. I loved this entire video, and love and respect you even more now (is that even possible?!) than before. 2. This is going to sound weird, I recognize, but I am legitimately, in some strange way, RELIEVED to hear the last one, cause I've always been over here like "how is it fair to have that teeny tiny tummy and then that *perfect*chest at the same time?!" And it actually never occurred to me that that wasn't just the genetic lottery. You are stunning in every way, and it's a teeny bit nice to acknowledge that people don't just come out of the womb looking like that.

"Dr. Granteronie"- CONGRATS to him!!!! I work in healthcare as a MRI Tech and Grant's always had such a helping/caring nature about him that made me wonder if he wasn't in a residence program, plus I've seen him scrubs. I live in scrubs and love it!! It's like wearing your PJs to work...lol. It was nice getting to know you on a deeper level and also appreciate the boundaries you have set for your loved ones. You know most of us just are curious and want to know all we can about you and him. Great video. Oh and Shelby's husband was a lawyer wasn't he??

I love this video! It’s nice to hear you open up. I can totally understand wanting to keep somethings off of KZbin, but when you feel like sharing, I’m here for it. Also, a series on relationship advice would be awesome. I’d watch that.

Hey Leighann, I’ve been watching you for years, but I just wanted to say over the last year or so you have quickly become one of my favorite youtubers. Your personality is so lovely and I absolutely adore your sense of humor. Really enjoy watching you explore different video styles and interests and going through all these changes in your life. Wish you the best in whatever the future holds

Hey girl, hey! I am a long time subscriber though one that rarely engages. I feel compelled to tell you what a breath of fresh air you are. I just simply adore you. And I find myself saying to my partner things like "oh! We should try that...my friend Leigh Ann recommended it." So we're friends. Deal with it

I love this and I love you! Ive been watching you for so many years now and I have always related to you on such a deep level. I, too, never thought I’d live to be 30 and now I’m 32. I remember turning 30 and feeling an odd sense of pride. Like, my life isn’t nearly as nuts as it was as a teen, but I still vividly remember that feeling of dying young.
@leighannsays5 жыл бұрын
I felt that pride too and at this point in my life almost no one around me now knew me back then so they don't fully get it when I'm like I SURVIVED MYSELF!!!

leighannsays I know, people Ive met in the last decade have NO IDEA. I try to balance being real about struggles in my life and NOT over sharing or being self deprecating about how I was, as if I am her now. I’m proud of my growth as a human, but I cannot and will not erase who I was before. She is why I am who I am now.

Fun video! It's always fascinating learning personal things about people. As humans we have this strange inclination to examine and analyze others. Good on you knowing that just because you're on KZbin, people aren't entitled to every detail of your life. Everyone deserves as much anonymity as they desire.

I’m so happy you made this video! ❤️ it really emphasizes the “we’d be best friends” lol but you’re so relatable and real it’s just a vibe you’ve always put off and you opening up about yourself just furthers it ☺️ I didn’t think I’d make it this far either but I gotchu girl! Love always ❤️
