Ok based off this she hasn't lived in Charlotte NC long enough so I will help you out. Big transplant city hardly will ever meet locals, locals are leaving 1. It is a family city in my opinion 2.the school you are referring to I'm guessing is the Johnson & Wales based off location in uptown however there is UNCC and Johnson C Smith University in NC-- but rent is increasing so this would be based off your budget, if you budget is tight I would recommend roommates if you don't want roommates and have a decent car and don't mind a 30 minute commute then I would advise you to live on the outskirts. But your budget will dictate a lot keep that in mind. 3.yes she is right my honest opinion the Asian food is a bit nasty here 😬 sorry barely any good Jamaican food explore your options 4 nightlife this will Depend on you, but most Transplants hang out uptown and epic center, music factory when you meet ppl you will figure that out 5.the African American community is Westside and I would recommend Northlake area/Northside 6 the job market might depend on your Field im 50/50 with that I'm going to say based of your salary requirements pay can be a bit low and if you don't mind commuting to work traffic can be a bit of a mess I would say you could find something (Charlotte/Fort Mill SC) But Charlotte is supposed to be known for banking jobs, there lots of call centers pay is okay could be better some downright low ....once again depends on your Field Avg rent is about $1,xxx rent has jumped dramatically I advise just exploring the city I think you could eventually find things your into Traffic is a pain! The Summers are hot and humid but tolerable Raleigh vs Charlotte --- I'm on the fence with this based off my experience ppl usually like one or the other. I couldn't tell you which one is better tbh. The city is growing welcome to Charlotte, NC !!!

I'm from Charlotte and if you try to compare it to to Atlanta as far as the nightlife, I'll just say this the club's close at two there are few places that stay open past it but we don't have crazy traffic unless there was a bad accident and you can get anywhere using streets you don't have to get on the highway unless you want to plus we have cheap tolls now on I 77
@CandiceMarieinspires4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting, I do like that you can get anywhere using the streets and don't have to get on the highway. SO many scenic routes here in Charlotte.
@TheTlewis30744 жыл бұрын
I'm not into the clubs either, I actually find Atlanta more boring than Charlotte. Everything in Atlanta is so spread out and you'll end up driving to most of the hot spots. Charlotte is of course smaller and most of the venues like Football, Basketball, baseball, museums, restaurants are located downtown and much easier to get to. That creates a more vibrant atmosphere than what I found in Atlanta. Check out Uptown, Southend, Plaza Midwood, and NODA. All near uptown and offer a lot of nightlife, and yes those are great areas for singles. They're both great cities I just like the Charlotte vibe better and the ease of getting around compared to ATL.
@BronwynAlexandriaa3 жыл бұрын
I’m single, no kids, in the workforce. Do uou recommend Charlotte over the Raleigh area? I’m from Texas, grew up in the big city. But craving the country/outdoor world with a small town vibe but still lots to do and fun City things like bars restaurants etc. also, good jobs 🥶

I’d say nightlife is fine here in the EpiCentre or Music Factory. Traffic is pretty bad. I suggest anyone not here yet to find a job and secure it BEFORE moving (many companies use recruiting firms). It’s a tough city for singles as well because it seems like everyone’s booed up lol. From what I hear, residents rely on private schoolsin Charlotte and surrounding areas because the school systems are pretty poor.

I don't think there bad options . Southpark is nice and uptown is nice. If you want more of that city living I would recommend uptown . Southpark is a nice area not as easy to get to the highway as uptown so based off your travel needs southpark could be hectic or congested. I would need to know what living situation your looking for to recommend one over the other... I love Phoenix it’s so beautiful there lots of wonderful things to do. My boyfriend is currently living there and I was supposed to move. Basing everything off of what he feel and actually see , culture wise In Phoenix is absolutely no place to raise a family being black. I been searching and doing a lot of watching videos on both Charlotte and Phoenix and I’m still Indecisive on what should I do. Should I go visit Phoenix one more tome for myself? Or make the move to Charlotte( by the way I never been to Charlotte) I just know it’s all love there because I have family there. Help help help
