Loving these straight to the point videos Charlie! Great to see the channel changing and growing with time as you guys are learning aswell I guess (the youtube game)

These videos are very helpful, there is usually some little bit that's new or a good reminder, and entertaining, Charlie giving it straight... never really a diplomat I imagine. The down time is a great point as our young lab's behaviour improved when we introduced daily quiet time away from everyone for a couple of hours after the morning exercise.

Questions - How best to socialising a lab puppy! I’ve watched your video but what if you don’t have other family dogs - thanks x

Thank you for addressing these issues. Nobody seems to covers them especially the zoomies. Side note I'm looking at the Le Chameau boots, do you recommend the neoprene or cotton? I live in Pennsylvania, USA

Question: How do you transition a young dog from 'change direction' heelwork, to 'straight line' heelwork? Is it a matter of time, practice, patience, and maturity?

Don't get me wrong I love your content because it's common sense and down to earth. I think the reason your techniques work so well is your dog's are excited to be with you. Unfortunately if you live with your dog at home then that's really difficult to reproduce. I have a crate and my dog is crate trained but shes only in the crate over night. How would you get that same engagement without the kennels?

Great video Charlie, thank you. Could you please do one about puppies/young dogs spitting out retrieves just as they reach you ? My 8 1/2 month old 3/4 Gordon Setter, 1/4 GWP loves to retrieve but always spits the dummy out and tries to play just as she reaches me. Is this something needing worked on now or will she grow out of this stage ? Thank you 😊

Great video, do you think you need a sense of humour to own a cocker spaniel or a springer in my case, his just one happy zooming lovely lad ... 😂

Hello . Really enjoy your videos so thank you. Just picked up my springer bitch last week. At 9 weeks old what should I be doing with her. At the minute im just allowing her to have fun and build a bond with me. Shes an outside dog so getting her used to kennel/crate. Moving forward what should I be doing each week in terms of lead work, heel, recall etc. In essence what age in weeks should I being doing what? I know every dog is different so just a rough guide per weeks old would be a great help. Thanks Charlie

I have an 11 month old black lab (f) who loves retrieving so much that she'll spend sections of walks where she expects to retrieve jumping and circling me. It's great she's so into retrieving however it gets annoying very quickly. I've tried going out with no dummy and going out with the dummy and not throwing. I don't want her expecting a retrieve really at all but enjoying them as a treat that she gets on walks some times. Any tips or ideas

It's quite tiring, boring and almost sickening when people judge other dogs by labradors' standards, and people act like they're really clever and awesome because they have a labrador trained. Or some specific springer that's had a long breeding standard to sit, stay, and retrieve. But you do talk sense most of the time and a likeable person, plus you have "gun dogs" in the name. Which is relevant, as I have a working line gundog pointer Lighten up a little and try the best and hardest to train gun dogs. The pointer. GSP or ESP Although they take a lot of time and patience and leniency By far the best fun gun dog, that's just as sweet and kind as a Labrador, if not more gentle and kind natured.
