Hiiii! As a loctician, what beauty store products do you suggest using on clients when starting and retwisting locs?
@cynthiabrown80987 ай бұрын
Try Evolved Textures it's a plane based line... look them up... I ordered from the line there foam, gel and oil spray...luv it.. No scalp irritations

Thank you for the information, very detailed & informative. I have some shedding due to split ends. Should you trim your split ends prior to starting locs?
@CourtneyGrayton2 жыл бұрын
If it’s to the point where it’s causing breakage, then yes. But typically it’s not absolutely necessary because the dead hair will loc as well.

Hello, I am going to start 2 strand twist loc method on my own hair this weekend. What shampoos and conditioners do you recommend for cleansing? Also, what moisturizers do you recommend for every day or every other day usage?

Hey! I just saw this video after leaving a comment on another video. I hope that you are doing well! I have a few questions. 1. What products are best to use for starting locs? I would like to start my own set and I currently use Shea moisture Jamaican black castor oil shampoo and condition for my loose natural hair. I was looking into design essentials but I'm not sure if they're good for locs or not. 2. Have you tried the myjoie and supergro gel? Are those good for retwisting? 3. Is it best to start locs on blowdried hair or freshly washed hair with no blow? 4. I'm stuck between microlocs and regular sized locs. This maybe a "no" question but would you be able to help me decide on which is best for my hair?

I wanted to ask does anyone else experience itchy scalp after getting your hair braided? I started my locs 2 days ago and my hair is already itchy but I could go awhile without washing my hair when it was in a afro. Why is that?
@CourtneyGrayton3 жыл бұрын
Typically what I notice is that because the hair is braided flat to the scalp, it can cause itching/discomfort. You probably don’t need to wash it, that’s most likely what’s happening.

I have coily hair and it’s kind of thin. I have patches on my scalp where the hair broke and is snail pace growing back, and so some parts of my hair are longer than other parts, so would it be okay if I got locs because I want them so bad
@TheChicagoRose3 жыл бұрын
I was really hoping someone would ask what gel/cream concoction you use to twist clients hair?? 👀
@cynthiabrown80987 ай бұрын
I found a plant based line called Evolved textures.. and it includes a foam, gel and oil spray.. Luv it.. no allergic reactions to scalp at all

My locs are less than a week old. I am having issues with my bottom rows because my hair is so short (less than an inch), can I just plait them or mouse them and retwist?
@Sumppluvme2 жыл бұрын
Quick question, my hair looks like yours , same length but i got coils, how should i moisturizer my starter locs, got them done 12/21/22 .. i see a lot of videos talking about staying a most of water on my starter locs because it’s helps with loccin up. Do you think i should spray mist of water on my hair ?

Hey!!!! I absolutely love your videos. I started my locs two days ago and my loc artist used beewax. What should I do? I do not see any build up and my hair does not feel heavy or that it cant breathe. But again, because it is something that is not recommended would beewax mess up my locs and will I eventually have heavy buildup in a few weeks? Thank you!!!! Keep posting!!1
@CourtneyGrayton2 жыл бұрын
If you don’t see much buildup now you may be fine. Just don’t use it again
