I have a question about the Multivan... does it have a camp mode yet to run the AC and accessories overnight while inside? Thanks! Also, what are your thoughts on DCC with the camper? Is it necessary? Does it make a big different to ride comfort and road noise?

What does camping mode actually do on a 2022 California, I’ve never found it any different but I tend to keep the keys in the ignition all the time but not switched on, obvs. Great vid. Thanks.

Hi Chris, Fab Q&A as always. My question relates to vehicle and leisure battery care during the off season. I am about to prepare my T6 Ocean for a 4 month hibernation. 1) What are the pros and cons of disconnecting the vehicle battery vs using a battery conditioner and it associated costs? 2) Should I disconnect the leisure batteries? Ordinarily the leisure batteries would be cared for by the roof solar panels, however, the van will be protected by a full custom cover. 3) If the vehicle battery is disconnected, will all systems simply reboot on reconnection at the start of the season. I appreciate that the clock will need resetting!😂 I look forward to you advice. Wayne

Excellent question Wayne. 3 months into T6.1 ocean ownership (winter) we ran all battery’s down, not reading the manual. Read the forums and you would believe the leisure battery’s need charging from a battery conditioner. We bought a battery conditioner! We now charge the vehicle once a month for 24hrs from the hook-up However some forums say you should charge permanently? Chris, this would make a great “let’s make it clear…”

Three years into ownership of my 6.1 Ocean and I may plug it into the mains once or twice over the winter whilst on the drive to top the batteries up, otherwise I let general use keep them charged.
