It was awesome.. But it would have been perfect if you tell us the purpose of each command and speak in video telling why we are doing this.. Why we selected specifically this option.. This is the most exact video I've seen on KZbin.. But if you speak it would be cherry on the cake.. BTW. Thanks

Excellent video. Is it possible to make solid - liquid flow like a slurry flow in a pipe. Thanks
@AnsysTutor7 жыл бұрын
Yes it is definitely possible, you have to just assign that solid as fluid in fluent having same material properties as that of solid.Try this .

Hey dude, Thanks for your videos, these are quite useful. I have a problem, when I update mesh the following appears:Update failed for the Mesh component in Fluid Flow (Fluent). Error updating cell Mesh in system Fluid Flow (Fluent). View the messages in the Meshing editor for more details. How could I solve it?

Excellent video, very helpful. Why don't you specify any pressures at the inlet and outlet?
@AnsysTutor6 жыл бұрын
you can specify the pressure as per your requirement. we have taken the default atmospheric pressure in this video.

Sir, how to design spikes/knurling in inner side of cylinder all over the length
@AnsysTutor3 жыл бұрын
First create the knurling geometry using the sweep tool. Then create a cylinder over this knurling, then use the boolean tool to substract the knurlung geometry from the cylinder geometry.

you might not get this option in the current version, try other option like "uniform".

Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Beams with Corrosion Subjected to Shear , sir i want to do this analysis. please prefer which typr can don this type problem????
@AnsysTutor5 жыл бұрын
I think you sould do like this way:- you have to first find the material properties for a corroded beam, then assign that property to the corroded parts of the model, and then use the Static Structural to do the analysis for shear force.

Dear Please I would like to ask if you have a tutorial video for using ansys to make a 3D model to simulate pile -soil interaction and develop negative skin friction in details and calculate the value of the pore water pressure - drag load - soil and pile settlement and the values of the negative skin friction stress. If you have such tutorial please I need it for my research. thanks

Hi, It's a Good informative Video. ThanX for making it... Btw, please tell us which Screen Recorder are u using? Also, at 13:02, what are those ALL EQNS ?
@AnsysTutor7 жыл бұрын
These are the basic flow equations used in CFD analysis.Here in this tutorial, the flow is laminar.So here the eqs are:- Continuity ,x-velocity,y-velocity,z-velocity etc. You can go through any standard CFD book for details about these equations, you can also visit www.ansys-tutor.blogspot.com for some basic intro to CFD.

How can we match the pressure drop we calculate through fluent and the analytical one? I am not able to understand how to use transient way to calculate pressure drop for laminar flow in a pipe.
@vishnujayakumar12295 жыл бұрын
sir in monitor, how put value as 1e-7 for z velocity? is their any clculation behind it? pls hlp
@AnsysTutor5 жыл бұрын
that is the residual value, In numerical calculations we calculate results based upon some approximation , the difference between the results of 2 equations is the residual. It is that residual value, there is no calculation behind this , the more you decrease the better accurate will be the result as the error will be minimum. You can go through some standard text regarding this to get a clear idea about CFD and how it works.

Sir, how could we apply roughness in laminar flow for fluid through a pipe
@AnsysTutor3 жыл бұрын
You cant add roughness in laminar flow model.
@naveenm66123 жыл бұрын
@@AnsysTutor I want to add roughness in laminar flow. Is this possible by any other method?
@naveenm66123 жыл бұрын
@@AnsysTutor Sir, I my project is based on this:During laminar flow there will be pressure drop because frictional losses is independent to surface roughness. During turbulent flow there will be pressure drop because frictional losses depends on surface roughness. Based on this I want to find pressure based on surface roughness(or pressure vs length of tube graph) on both laminar and turbulent flow. Please provide some suggestions regarding this. Also I have done the analysis but don't know whether it is correct or not. If you could do a youtube video it will be very helpful.
@naveenm66123 жыл бұрын
@@AnsysTutor The analysis is on a simple pipe having inner roughness.
@AnsysTutor3 жыл бұрын
You can add roughness, if you select the turbulence model. Your flow need not be turbulent. Flow can be laminar, but the flow model should be turbulent.

Hi..does it possible to design this geometry in solid work? if yes , how we can determine the thickness of pipe? it means does solid work has a command same as Fill in Design Modeler? thank you for your attractive tutoring in advance
@AnsysTutor7 жыл бұрын
You can create the entire geometry in solidworks, and export it to .iges format, then import this geometry file in ansys design medeler. You can create the fluid geometry instead of using fill command in ansys.
