hi, i am a beginner in ansys. i have two question to ask. 1. Does velocity magnitude is simply flow velocity? 2. in simulating a crude oil flow, the iterations not reaching 500 and above even though i set it to 1000. it only reach 70-80 and already converged. is it something that i should worried or not?

You dont need to be worried about the iteration converged at an earlier. As the numerical iterations should get converged to give us an assured result. We generally provide a higher no of iterations as we are not aware about how many iterations will it take to converge, so dont worry about it. If you want to increase the iterations to get a better result ,you can decrease the residuals.

Velocity magnitude is the velocity at that boundary. You can call it the flow velocity at the inlet.

You can put it in the wall thickness , while assigning the wall boundary conditions.

You need to tick the new plane box in the outline. Or rotate the geometry to see.

Check the mesh size. If there would be a larget mesh size which might causing problem for refinement.

Click on mesh in the side panel bar, you would see " details of mesh" there you can get sizing option

gravity is more relevant in case of any desity difference, in this case there is no difference in density or natural comvention so there is no difference in result.
