What I like about this scene is how they showed Scott’s levity. In the past he cracks jokes all the time and he claimed that it was his coping mechanism, but we have never actually saw that. But in this scene, you can see how intense everything is, and he cracks a joke while still looking concentrated and nervous, which makes it better than just mindless jokes

But this scene definitely does a good job at establishing how much of a threat he is the way he talks so casually about killing Thor. Holy almighty hell - this may be the single most terrifying exchange I've ever seen. Majors brings a depth to this that is rare, even in serious dramatic films The gravitas in his delivery makes every subsequent sentence more menacing than the last, even as he is guiding the conversation to a more pleasant, cooperative place.
