i understand that blowing up Darren's face into a dumpy giant melon looks incredibly silly,...............but its not like MODOK itself wasn't looking silly. Its litterally a giant head....with robot arms and sits on a jetpack. They're just being "faithful" to the comics. Isn't that what all the nerd ragers want? But if they redesign them, then the movie would be accused of not sticking to MODOK's original design. But to stick with MODOK's original design means blowing up a head. I would say he's decent. Not the greatest, nor the worst, but decent. MODOK is sometimes bald, and yet they forgot to add a bit more disfigurement on Darren; probably some stretch marks on his face as a result of his mutation would've been nice.

From the Marvel Avengers game especially the design and the transformation sequence of how each time we saw him he would be more deformed as we progressed, the design of it was beautiful, the character motif PHENOMENAL, the development BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED, And then the voice actor gave the passion of the character which was beautiful

The problem with adapting MODOK is that he's portrayed so differently in the comics depending on who's writing at the time. Oftentimes he's depicted as a serious, powerful threat (which is how he was originally intended and designed to be) and other times writers make him a literal joke who's entire purpose is just to be laughed at. More often than not, when MODOK appears in other media outside the comics, they tend to emphasize the comical side instead of the serious, threatening villain side.

After Endgame, we had very little Good Marvel movies, such as She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Black Panther 2, Thor Love and Thunder, Eternals, Ant-Man 3, Secret Invasion, Doctor Strange 2. Those movies I just listed were the bad ones. Now let's move on to the good movies and series we got. Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Loki, WandaVision, Falcon and Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Guardians 3, Hawkeye. Now, all those movies I just listed were the good ones we got. And notice how we mostly got bad ones. Marvel has a big issue with writing and is running out of ideas and resources.

Cassie is slightly terrified of Darren now MODOK because Darren as Yellowjacket almost killed her and her stepfather Jim Paxton when Cassie was seven years old until her father Scott Lang as Ant-Man saved them by shrinking Darren down to the quantum realm which is how he became MODOK after being saved by Kang the Conqueror, blah, blah, blah, though Cassie overcomes her fear of him and stands up to him and redeems him in the climax.
