This disqualification is complete BS. No specification change should be done without communication. A Disqualification may be Part of the official rules, but in my opinion FIA should have investigated on that and give a way milder penalty to Porsche..

Seemingly random disqualifications have been a massive problem for Formula E. Remember the ridiculous race in Puebla where Wehrlein drove faultlessly lights-to-flag and was disqualified on the line for a technical infringement that happened before the start? It's just another example. Yes, rules are rules. But the rules clearly need to be improved because we're watching whole races where the winner just gets thrown out afterwards, seemingly at random. It's been a factor in denting my interest in the series.

@@vl3005 Unfortunately FE doesn't have that luxury. The championship is run and sanctioned by the FIA, unlike F1 where it's only sanctioned by the FIA. If F1 truly ever gets fed up, they could in theory tell the FIA to fck off and govern themselves. The FIA needs F1, not the other way around. FE on the other hand, truly needs the FIA. Without it a lot of ppl would see this series as illegitimate

António Félix da Costa is a Formula E world champion who was denied entry into this years WEC season because of Porsche want to focus on muh Formula E. ​@@AnimilesYT The awnser is we never know, because one was taken, but since the focus is now in one car the rest is safe and already knows that that piece is illegal and the line in whatever page it was said of that Spring Throttle on the parts catalog was removed, the teams dodged a bullet because Porsche got it all. So they're in some way shielded. Correct me if I'm wrong, because that's my perspective.

Wehrlein lost a win in 2021 because Porsche didn’t tell the FIA which tyres they were using, He was DSQ’d right after he crossed the line. Formula E really needs to get a grip and sort out these ridiculous penalties and disqualifications

When Wehrlein was disqualified because of the wrong set of tires declared, even though they were the exact same tires as everyone else, fair enough it was a dumb mistake fully on Porsche. But in this particular instance the supplier is just as much as fault as the team. Like Karun said, a warning to all the teams that had been supplied older springs at the beginning of the season would have been the sensible thing to do. I hope that Porsche does appeal and win the case.

@@garysanderson5774 You clearly don't know much about F1 history. Da Costa didn't race with Sainz or Max. He was ahead of them in the overall RB driver roster by a few years. He's contemporary with Vergne, Kvyat and Ricciardo. He was going to F1 in 2014, but RB chose Kvyat that didn't have half his success in the lower formulas. After that they didn't even gave him a chance to show his potential, they sent him to drive heavy cars in DTM. Pretty much just a big middle finger to him. Meanwhile Kvyat was just another footnote on F1, only being known for warming the RB seat for Max.

I mean why don't the tems literally hire someone who is basically a regulations watcher. looking at the rules pressing F5 on the keyboard constantly. to see if FIA has done any changes.. so yeah it is a team sport and rules are rules it's up to the teams to follow them. so im 100% with FIA/stewards on this one. this is the same with vettel in F1 when he lost 2nd place in a race where his fuel level was not enough to have a sample. well the team should not have overlooked that. people always think F1/FE is easy. just drive the car from A to B. well its a bit more than that.

I don't feel sorry for Porsche (a company with a history of skirting the rules in motorsport for over 55 years, dating back to the old WSC/WCfM days) here, people need to learn how to READ once more. It was a part supplied to them at the start of the season which had no bearing on performance and shouldn't be treated as that.
