It's time for the final video from our first Antarctica series. This is a quick round up of the trip overall featuring some of the best photos I captured. I hope you like them. There are definitely a few bangers in there and possibly even some print worthy images.
Join us in 2025!! We are planning to Cross the Antarctic Circle in January of 2025, going even further and staying even longer on the peninsula. Join myself and Nick Page on the trip of a lifetime.
www.nickpageph...
We are going to set up a live info meeting sometime in the next 10 days. You can sign up for that conference style call via the link above (it's at the bottom of the page). This live call will be hosted by Nick and I featuring a representative from Polar Latitudes who can help answer any questions you may have. It's going to be fun. See you there!
Cheers and thanks for watching!

You captured so many amazing images Greg!! It's great to see you come out of the pandemic crisis so well and enthusiastic. YOur portfolio is so broad; Starwells to Antarctica...WOW! It must have been so difficult to distill your selection down to 50+? It looks like you are hooked on Antarctica, I'm looking forward to some more wonderful images from Patagonia. I'm traveling vicariously with you LOL!

Epic round-up! Great selection of photos and looked like an epic trip… the orcas and seabirds especially. My mum just got back from an Antarctic cruise and on the way back went through a full hurricane… so you were certainly luck with the weather and the decision to get back early!

Hi Greg, by chance I found your video series about your Antarctica visit. Great footage and photos and well done videos combining information and inspiration. This was extremely helpful as I am leaving in 10 days for a similar trip including South Georgia and the Falklands. Just one question: your videos look well stabilized, at least the ones from land visits. Did you use a tripod or would it be enough to go with a monopod as well? As a regular photo excursionist I hope we do one day a tour together, by the way, I am living as well in Hamburg, Rissen in the West ... best regards Frank
@gregorsnell
@gregorsnell 9 ай бұрын
Hi Frank. Awesome comment and thanks for the kind words. I use a gimbal when shooting video. My suggestion would be a monopod I think that is fine. Also be careful with your tripod as they are often not advised during landings because of Avian bird flu.

Hi, I am one of the Polar Latitudes photo coaches and have had the privilege of photographing Antarctica over the last 40 years. I've enjoyed watching the videos in this series. Great choice picking Polar Latitudes for this trip. Also I would like to say those are incredibly beautiful and very unusual Giant Petrel flight images. Stunning light and extremely well photographed. There are plenty of other excellent images in that final selection and it's good to hear such enthusiasm for the photographic possibilities in this compelling location. Not surprised you are planning a return visit!

@@gregorsnell Hi Greg, So pleased you enjoyed it all (who wouldn't?!!). I've loved every second of my several years in Antarctica and particularly enjoy working with Polar Latitudes these days (following on from working as a scientist, then sailing in a yacht, then working for Nat Geo, then the BBC and now on the expedition ships - it's been a colourful journey!). I.m just uploading the voyage video from my most recent PL journey which included the spectacular island of South Georgia....will send you a link. Happy to be in contact and chat further about the photography. I also see you are talking to Conny - she's got the full logistic info but I can maybe add some photographic tips.

@@gregorsnell I'm self employed. I can take infinite time. However, I'm a 1 man show. When I don't work, I don't make $$$. It's like double the sting when I take long vacations.
