The biggest glacier in Canada split in half and half of it floated away. The experts thought it might happen in hundreds of years, but then it happens the next month.

I think we have less time. Greenland is quickly approaching thresholds that were thought to be years away generating mor methane and more melt. Also strong signals that the AMOC is changing as a result. Countries need to really start to consider relocating populations. Think we have a problem with emergration now, just wait until large areas start to be affected. You can only kick the can down the road so far before you run out of road.

A previous report, published on ScienceNews by Carolyn Gramling on December 13, 2021, stated that collapse was due within 5 years. Both 0 after 2 should be consequently suppressed. I didn't intend to live 200 more years to witness that anyway.

The ice melt began 22,000 years ago. Sea level has risen about 410 feet since then. Sea levels are still rising.

There are volcanoes there, they have melted the ice for eons. The waters of Earth move all over, sometimes freezing, sometimes thawing. Earth is alive! We do need to stop trashing the place.

We have gone too far to do anything to stop it now, as our inaction has already set reinforcing feedback loops for global warming in motion. It would be better at this point to attempt to prepare for what is sure to be coming worldwide in the near or not too distant future. GOOD LUCK!

Once the tipping point for the permafrost to melt and release the tremendous amounts of methane gas that the permafrost contains the ice sheets will quickly melt. This will raise sea levels 3-10 meters which would put every coastal city underwater.

Well i can show you the physics of ice to water. Take 1 gram of ice at 32 deg f and introduce 334 joules of energy to it and prestro you have water at 32 deg f. Now introduce another 334 joules of energy and wala 174 deg f water. Global Warming.

Someone should go harvest or mine ice from the glacier. Ice can then be melted and stored underground or dispense on desert soil before it melts into the ocean.

The climate changed about 22,000 years ago and the glaciers and ice sheets began melting. Since that time, sea levels have risen some 410 feet. There is absolutely no reason to believe that the glaciers and ice sheets will stop melting. Sea level rise that began 22,000 years ago continues today.

After the sea 🌊 level rises and solar at max. more water evaporate, which leads to more rain. More water will be saved in desert reservoirs, which will rise ground level water and local rain desert turn it into green....this is the logic in my mind. ​@@dinosaur0073 the sun is not at solar max, global warming is about energy in and energy out. Its the co2 PPM that heats the atmosphere. Its currently at 427ppm. If man didn't burn fossil fuel the co2 ppm would be 300 and we would be headed back towards a cooler interglacier period.
