The only problem with making every character an alternative costume for Olimar is that all of them _except_ Alf (which is why he's already in Smash) have different body shapes to Olimar. Unless you want enemy attacks clipping through their models or not even reaching their models, you'd have to change their hurtboxes and by that point they'd have to be echo fighters at least. And having several echo fighters for one character would be weird.

One thing I love about PIkmin 3 is how it handles the day limit. The fact that how stressed you have to be about finding fruit is based on how much fruit you've already found is a great balancing act for when you're getting the hang of the game & seeing how many juice containers you have at the end can make for a fun sort of competition among fellow Pikmin fans. Pikmin 2 having no day limit was weird & even knowing how easy it can be to actually get all 30 ship parts doesn't change the fact that when I first played Pikmin 1, elementary/middle school (I forget which) me couldn't mentally handle the pressure. So managing my own time limit is just a really cool way of doing it.

Pikmin 2 was a big ass game and was a lot of fun throughout. The third... I just didn't feel it. I still play it after completion just because I'd like to 100% it on story mode at least, and wanted to see what normal and ultra-spicy difficulty are like - the latter of which was... too easy even with only 60 pikmin. Day 15 and on final area. Damn, the game is tiny, and I bought it for around £45 or so. I find that ridiculous.

How exactly are they mutant variants? You get them from Candypop Buds, just like every other Pikmin type. Never played 2, but even if the game explicitly says they don't have an Onion, a mutant species could eventually develop one. I'm basically saying it's not impossible to see the White and Purple Pikmin above ground, and with an Onion of their own, in a future game.

Alph is my personal favorite Pikmin character, and he just so happens to be my secondary main in Smash Ultimate (he was my main in Smash for 3DS/Wii U). I can’t believe you had the nerve to write him off as an “Olimar cosplayer!” How could you say such a thing, AntDude?! 😤😤😤 All jokes aside, I just really like Alph’s character: an upbeat, yet clumsy and simple-minded boy who tries his best to stay focused and contribute to the team as best he can. I especially like his central character trait as the professional mechanic of the trio, similar to Tails being the master mechanic of Team Sonic. Also, Alph’s voice is easily my favorite out of the entirety of the Pikmin cast. I assume he was included as a playable fighter in Smash because, similar to Ganondorf’s body structure resembling Captain Falcon’s (as stated by Sakurai during Melee’s development), Alph has a similar body structure to Olimar, more so than Brittany, Charlie and even Louie do. Alph was also promoted as the central main protagonist of the trio during Pikmin 3’s development. Let’s not forget that Garden of Hope was also included as a new stage, and since Brawl’s Distant Planet occupied the role as Olimar’s home stage, Nintendo probably felt that a Pikmin 3 character was needed to associate with Garden of Hope. I think Alph fits right in with the rest of the Smash roster. Part of that may just be my bias shining through, but what can I say? Alph is one of my all-time favorite video game characters. It’s such a shame nobody acknowledges his existence, though; everybody calls him “Olimar”, despite the two being completely separate characters and looking completely different. It’s like calling any of the seven Koopalings “Bowser Jr.”... Oh, wait, people do that too.

Pikmin 3 is what I call perfection I knew little about Pikmin other than Olimar, and I was confused seeing Him gone from it But it showed me how things worked while showing how beautiful it is It really knew how to show something that old players would know from earlier games while giving something that new players could get into That sentence probably didn’t make any sense but I don’t care I’ll go along with it

The reason the fruit models looked detailed is because 3D Models can use texture that catch the lighting in a way that implies depth so you see it and it looks like it has tons of little details but in actuality they are quite simple objects

With how much you love Brittany (and I agree, she is best girl), I'm surprised you didn't know about Brittany's blurbs on each fruit type, which to my knowledge is only accessible at the end of each day, and is tucked away on the gamepad screen. Yeah I can kinda see how you'd easily miss it now that I think about it. They're worth looking up though!
