Limited to 1,000 copies in both black and the elusive brown sleeve, these Bolton blokes went under the name “England” in the late 70’s prior to changing their name to ANTHEM and releasing the hard to find self released “England” 7” EP in 1981.
They played quite a lot within the pub circuit of their hometown of Bolton and changed their name to Anthem shortly before the release of their sole single.
All records are ultrasonically cleaned but still expect some pops and crackle. Ripped using an Audio Technica AT-VM740ML cartridge mounted on a fully KAB mod'd SL-1210MK5G-SE via an all vacuum tube chain consisting of a VTA PH-16x phono stage and a VTA SP-13 preamp. Digital conversion via a KORG DS-DAC-10R ADC.
