This game has the most fun combat I've played anthem 2.0 needs a revive the info we were getting of the games overhaul sounded great.....I still jump on here and there i do miss all my buddies playing back in the day though

I come back to this game over and over and over and over again. The feeling of freedom to go wherever via javelin flight to engaging in and out of combat is like no other. I’m extremely saddened that no one has picked this up and continued to develop it. After watching this game play again, I’ll be downloading it when I get home to put a few more hours in

It was running so well ;] I tried things the were suggested, reinstalling, app and the game, repairing, port forwarding, changing to wifi instead of ethernet. Sadly nothing worked. My last resort is to instal win11 :D, but thought I ask someone whos playing the game now if you have some suggestions or heard of solutions.

Anthem could have been an incredible RPG. The game mechanics are superb. But of course it had to be a live service looter-shooter because EA just isn't happy with all the money, they have to have MORE!

This was definitely a game that they should've continued to work on. Look at Cyberpunk now vs launch. It didn't get continued work partially because it landed right before COVID and partly because it's EA and EA sucks. Playing this game though it's the javelins that make it so fun. All four are fun in their own way. For me it's the Storm's endless hovering that I really enjoy, raining down elementals is a "blast". But the swiss army knife Ranger and the one man army Colossus are close as well. The only one I struggle with atm is the Interceptor just because you have to stay moving, but I can see the melee could be really fun with the right kit.

I think anthem was incomplete when it came out. And like no man sky, players raged and moved on. Only difference is that the developers kept making updates and changes to improve no man sky, so it had the players come back to that game. This seemed like they just gave up and moved on to other projects.

This was always good. People just hated it to the ground. I lpved it. Colossus 4 ever. I had it on ps4. I tried to buy it on PC...i couldnt find it. Makes me very sad.

It was a buggy mess when it launched - people had good reason to hate it. It also felt very incomplete. That said, I always loved the flying dynamic and graphics...it had massive potential if it were executed properly or at least not abandoned.

It was around that time when people started realizing they could get a lot of views by being very critical of modern gaming. The sad part is, people still pre-order games en masse and are actually begging for loot boxes to make a return(OW2). There are a few games from that time period that could have been bangers had they not been given the typical knee-jerk reaction. I get it, people paid AAA game money for something that didn't live up to the hype, but joining the hate bandwagon for terrible purchasing decisions at the individual level was not and still is not the way to go. I would hope we're getting beyond that stage, but seeing how many people pre-ordered Suicide Squad and complained, I seriously doubt it 😂

The price increase for cosmetics between OW1 and OW2 is massive. With the prices as they are now, buying loot boxes to get the skins was a much cheaper affair, especially since duplicate items gave you in-game currency, which you could spend on more skins. I think, counting back, based on current prices for the same cosmetics, I got more than $65 worth of cosmetics out of a $50 pack of loot boxes. Blizzard hasn't gotten a penny from me since 2018, and I intend to keep it that way until they change their ways

I dont know...there was nothing there at endgame and the game released with a lot of broken textures as well. The netcode was pretty bad in the first month of its release as well. The issue is, this was another example of a game that feels like it was released half baked and was not ready for prime time. The tolerance for that at the time was very low...honestly I think the tolerance for that is still low but Anthem kind of came out not ready.

Wake up, dummy. The game died because it sucked, the story was extremely short and there was nothing to do after finishing it, the missions were extremely repetitive and the loot was pathetic.

That said, I was one of the few who really enjoyed the good parts of the game and hoped they would continue development.

Pre ordered the game and was a waste. There is 0 reason to play this game when Warframe exists. If I gave WF a shot before buying Anthem I would have saved myself 60$. It's the same game but actually fun. Whatever you like in Anthem, WF has a better implementation of apart from the fact that not all frames can fly. It has a better story, gets regular lore quest updates. New weapons, frames etc... If you like Anthem, give Warframe a try.

@@Ciffer-1998 While I mostly agree, WF has fun gameplay and mechanics once you actually unlock the things you need. The problem with it though, is that unless you know what you are grinding for (what play style you want to unlock), it takes ages to do it blind. I have over 1300 hours in the game and most of it was looking for fun new play styles and then grinding to unlock them.
