It's already been confirmed the only type of Microtransaction in the game is purely cosmetic (and you can just play to get them anyway). All story based DLC will be free, as stated by BioWare.

EA decide which kind of micro transactions, if any, will be implemented, they decide of the game should be monetized, they are in control of weither or not Bioware's vision of the game please them. Bioware DEVELOPS the game and PROPOSE FEATURES, EA validate them because it's THEIR GAME. Be really, really carefull, it's not Bioware's game, they are only and solely developping it nothing more.

I am beyond excited for this game. I haven't felt this way about a game since Destiny 1. I know D1 wasn't great at launch, and I'm expecting Anthem to have its own problems, but I have a great feeling about this. The gameplay feels solid and I think it'll have the replayability that I'm looking for. I don't care about the story or microtransactions. Destiny had me hooked on the gameplay and the hunt for loot, and I think this is going to satisfy my need to grind.

You should check out their dev streams. This is the most upfront EAs been about a game for a long time. It actually surprised me, especially with the early release demo coming beginning of February. Not many developers would let you try the game with that much time to ditch your pre order if you didn’t like it before launch. Since it’s EA, I’m still waiting for the other shoe to drop, but it is surprising how they’re handling this.

Once upon a time people just wanted to play a good game with an original story where politics and agendas were not pushed. Where the story was that of struggle and triumphs, loss and overcoming hardship. Where a sense of achievement was earned and not bought or just given to. @@ih1763 With what they are doing admittedly to Dragon age I hope that it's not just identity politic and it's a good well thought out story. Would be amazing if it was a mother that lost a child and it was her quest for vengeance that made her rise up, perhaps because she felt she had nothing to lose and rose to great notoriety leading others. Or, something to that manner that isn't a reason "just because". Could have been a great twist too if it was a Metroid like twist when the player was all Oh snap that's cool. I honestly hope that it's good story telling I really do. In this day and age when politics are taking priority over story it would be a breath of fresh air.

(some of the things similiar to warframe: one piece exosuit, 4 abilities, melee with combos, 3rd person, moveability,...) PS: There is nothing as "Grandfounder" only founder with rank Grand Master but I presume you meant that even though I now tend to not believe you since people with that love to brag about it and get the name right every time... Marco Luk Yes Warframe is free but unless you buy plat or trade for it (someone had to pay for it anyway) you are pretty limited when it comes to inventory and have to buy slots. So there is a sort of pay wall included. While in Anthem thats not the case. Both has its good and bad points. Its just a different way of monitezation of the game. We are yet to see the prices on cosmetics in Anthem but I hope they will be lower than those in Warframe ( or atleast they should be). Truth is I dont mind either of the systems (paying for inventory space or game as whole).

Stewmeat I am an anti sjw God loving/fearing American and I am pretty exited for this. When did it become bad for a badass important character to be female? Answer: it always has been bad when done for the sake of “diversity” but if its properly written into lore and executed correctly with a good character and believable circumstances, then its entirely fine and even cool sometimes. Now this is EA and bioware who ruined mass effect with "politically correctness" but that was a story driven game, Anthem is a gameplay/ grind focused game, meaning even with a story that is there they won't get the chance to shove politics down everyone's throats.

I really want that colossus skin, I hope we can customize not just the colors and materials of our javelins but the actual parts. If I could look like that mean crusader that would be the best and those melee weapons the statues hold would be sweet.
