The thing that annoys me about anthem is the movement, aesthetic and combat all are really good, the javelins feel great flying about like iron man the idea of building your kit to be primers and detonators and combining with your squad. the world looks and feels so good to fly around in and marvel at and then it comes to what there is to actually do and they just completely fail at content so sad

The thing about Anthem is that it seems amazing right now. It doesn't have the most content out there, but it plays amazingly (especially when compared to the bugs at launch). Maybe if enough people agree, it can be revived. We did see this with TitanFall 2 in a way

I think this game's launch was the most heartbreaking, soul destroying game release I've ever experienced in my life. This was everything I was hoping for in a game, I was willing to legitimately WAIT any amount of time it took for BioWare to turn it around even though I usually don't like games with that model. Still makes me sad every time I hear about Anthem or watch anything on it.

I find the game is much more enjoyable for me than others. It does help that I both emphasize fun value over full experience, as well as always being an iron man fan. I like that all the enemies are the same because you don’t have to have a plan, you can just kick ass for an hour

Yeah I'm only missing the "No stone unturned" achievement. Maybe I ought to go grab it. I still find the game quite fun. For me I do agree the story, and after game content fell right on its head. But I feel I myself can find fun in the game even after the fact. Shame my friends no longer have the drive to play it again. Ah well. Started as an interceptor, even during beta, and by end game I chose colossus. All javelins are fun though. Quick edit: aaaand I just remembered why I don't have that achievement! Those runes. The eighty of them you have to collect? Yeah imagine the game having a bug that just doesn't register you collecting 1 of those 80 runes? Yep. I do not think I will start fresh cause that's a lot for one achievement; that I should already have.

I just finished my platinum today, figured id better get it done before they close the servers, wasnt expecting to see so many people online, last few categories of collectables were nightmares, but i found some guides for respawn manipulation that speed it up, took 2 days about 15 hours to get the dreaded collectable trophy.

Idc what anyone says, Anthem remains to be and will remain to be one of my favourite games. Almost everything about it is spot on, the only qualms I have are far outweighed by what I love about the game. I just really wish the Devs went ahead with Anthem Next and brought it to its full potential

yeah my problem will always be we got given this amazing idea by a dev team that gave up and didnt care, if they updated it regularly like say Destiny or something, or Warzone.. with regular content updates, weapon changes etc.. it would of been insane, but it just felt half baked

None of what happened was the devs fault, it was EA's. The devs were all very active in the Anthem discord right up until the last minute when it was announced that the shareholders had voted to completely scrap Anthem Next and move most of the team to other projects and stop all future support. They were all incredibly sad and depressed, one of the last teams at EA that actually had passion for what they were working on. That was the day I decided to quit Anthem for good as the game officially had no future.

I grabbed this game for like $20 4ish years ago on a bet with a buddy that I couldn't 100% it and it turned out to not be too bad of a game. Destiny killer no but fun in its own right. The grind for those collectibles was a nightmare but there are worse games for that like The Avengers game. Anthem though is actually pretty fun if it was rushed like crazy it could have been really good.

If you are stuck and some collectibles are not appearing at all, create a new pilot, do some missions till you can collect the collectibles and get the rest of them.

I've abandoned this at 90% because of those RNG collectibles. You lucked out getting it randomly. I've grinded a "reliable method" for hours on end only to have the one I need refuse to spawn. Its just not worth it. I'll get it someday...maybe when I can get it for free

tbh the RNG collectibles was the easiest part, I still hand to manually get them all, I just lucked out with the harvests, I just ran the same route and respawned into a new world, took like 4-5 hours

@@itsstuddy I guess thats the joy of RNG, easy for some, less so for others. Theres a trophy in Injustice 2 for using a certain move that can only be obtained with RNG lootboxes. One of my friends popped that trophy in his first week, it was one of the first he got. I looked at my stats when I finally popped it and I'd done like 300 hours and over 45,000 lootboxes. I had every other trophy by hour 50, the rest was just mindless grinding for currency. The RNG gods hate me :(

@@itsstuddy Its very grindy, some online ones but they're boostable. You have to win ranked matches online but you can keep trying until you find your partner, then keep hitting "rematch". Theres a few others too but again, easily boostable. Trickiest part is the RNG stuff tbh. The Injustice: Gods Among Us plat is waaaaaay more difficult. I'd be happy to help you boost sometime if you wanted :)

Going for All Achievemiets. Playing it on Xbox one through game pass. The Xbox one version is locked to 30fps and is really pushing the hardware and often dips below 30 FPS. Despite the World of Warcraft 'go here, kill that' style missions with a slightly shallow storyline, having fun with it. I think I'm about half way through. Sadly on PC it's EA Play only so no xbox achievements

@@itsstuddy yeah i saw that. that was great for completing the abilities. you're right. the public events i was talking about are the quick "missions" you do during expedition (when you explore the planet). i did those because you can do lots of them and they drop a lot of things. it was just easier to get a lot of drops fast. it doesn't change the fact that it's random and quite boring to keep farming just because you're missing one ability or weapon

just find an area where collectibles might spawn then run the same route over and over.. collectibles are RNG so different collectibles will spawn in the same place

I thought you couldn't play Anthem anymore because its servers were shut down and its online only. I think a lot of people hate on Anthem because its fun to crap on games. It definitely deserves some of the hate, but there was still a lot of fun to be had in it for the first 15-20 hours. The serious lack of content, terrible loading times and glitches, the horrific grinding... yeah its a shitshow. I still have yet to play a game that plays like Anthem though.

Achievement hunting is a bitch on PC, we have to complete every achievement in the game to get 100% including dlc trophies (whether you own the dlc or not) that on PlayStation are in their own little list on the game separate from the main trophies most of the time. I miss the trophy system or even the gamer score system, steam just shows how many achievements you have and it makes it feel a little less special to 100% games.
