I hate it when they accentuate words like it's a fucking RnB song. It's a national anthem, sing it the way it's supposed to be sung. If I want to hear word repetition and over-accentuated syllables, I'll go buy a Mariah Carey cd from wall-mart.

Nice video Joe. Sometimes I tear up during the anthem, but it doesn't happen often. This time I didn't either, but that song hits me sometimes though.

Joe, thanks for your post. You did a good job explaining the situation. Oh and this bit... --- It just felt like something more than a coincidence that this was all happening for a crowd that has seen more brutality than practically anyone. Almost like the energy of the universe was responding to the thoughts in the room. I know that sounds like crazy, new age hippy shit, but Im not entirely sure its not actually the case. --- That's exactly how it works. This is ancient knowledge, not new.

How am I a hypocrite? Myself, my mother, my father, none of my friends have never had to piss in a cup to get a job. We probably never will either. The only jobs that do piss tests are "high risk" jobs such as firefighters, police officers, pilots etc. And it's not like the US where they will randomly test you,since I have met cops that toke.

Ah well you see I remember why I thought this now. My cousins played highschool soccer/volleyball and had to take physicals+urine tests in order to get on the team. I totally forgot about the sports aspect when I posted and assumed it was just to be in school the physical was required. My mistake.

American TV=bigger budgets. Of course people here are going to watch shows from the US. I never said people here watched any more or less than there. Canada isn't the only country that has this, and despite your misinformed beliefs it has nothing to do with US bashing. It is simply to ensure that Canadian art and pop culture actually reaches mainstream media, rather than seeing only American work.

I would never move there. Did you miss that part? Just because out of all democracies it is the one most Canadians move to doesn't mean I would go there. It's impossible to count who has more personal freedoms but like I said, at least I don't have to piss into a cup at a job interview (aka I can still get a job and choose what substances I put into my body)

I could not stop noticing those affliction tools in the front row throughout the whole program, I felt that them wearing all the funny wigs and shit was almost like them trying to make light of the very serious situation. Whats with the all the anti Canadian and anti American posts, if your gonna post something like, AMERICA SUCKS!!, at least tell us why you think this. The program was amazing though, great fights throughout, and for a great cause at that.

No shit..they don't do it at the highschool genius...they do it at a doctors or clinic and the results are sent back to the school. haha..saying I'm out of touch with reality when you don't even know me. If we had this argument face to face I would have been able to make my points much clearer, but I am not the best at putting my thoughts to words, especially over youtube...lol.

Wrong. Canada is more diverse by population. The US has far more people, but percent wise Canada is more diverse. And we actually let immigrants keep their accustomed cultures. Not like the melting pot we call the USA.
@JG12916 жыл бұрын
haha yeah really eh or the world anthem ??
@TRUE_GR1T16 жыл бұрын
And most of the US is very ignorant towards Canada. Even you yourself think that we want to be like you which is infact very untrue. I have never once in my life wished I was from a different place in the world (maybe somewhere with warmer winters). Canada is also quite diverse, and we have the same freedoms here. You should also do the same, and remember when it comes down to it we are all human and where we are from and the colour of our skin shouldn't matter so much.
