Like many genius types, they're along the autism spectrum and hence horrible communicators and are not good at public speaking. Likewise, Armstrong suffered traumas (the death of his child) and PTSD related to being so close to death so many times in his career, and likely had to ride a tightrope while talking to the public and not disclosing technology to the Soviets listening. So I don't read anything into this. He was a great man and we did go to the moon.

Joe is actually very wrong here, ufc isn’t real fighting, it only works in a structured setting with a ref, any real fight, you always want to stay on your feet and be ready to evade, exactly what boxing teaches, you throw a kick in a real fight, you’re probably going to the ground, you go to the ground, you don’t have any way of evading and his friends are likely just going to jump you, you grapple or close distance in a real fight, you’re probably just getting stabbed, literally lost a friend in highschool cause he got his leg sliced open putting a guy in a head lock. But you guys keep listening to a guy whose lives a sheltered life the last 40 years and only knows fighting in a gym
@groovytony24722 сағат бұрын
Are you aware that rogan was a professional fighter and taught people before comedy and podcasting? Even to this day fighters ask him to come train with them because his kicks are elite. Boxing isn’t real fighting nor do the promoters give the fans the fights they want unlike the ufc that make brilliant fights constantly. Also anyone that knows how to kick should do so in a street fight because the average person will have no idea how to defend that, including an experienced boxer.
@Gassysamsquanch22 сағат бұрын
@ Joe rogan was never a professional fighter… he taught children in his 20s and is nothing but a gym “fighter”… and anyone who knows how to kick shouldn’t throw a kick in a street fight because that’s an offensive move and they would have the forethought to remain defensive and ready to evade… you clearly don’t got a clue
@groovytony24722 сағат бұрын
@@Gassysamsquanch he fought Taekwondo at state level, anyone that’s fighting at a bar is a shmuck more often than not and normally has no idea how to defend a kick nor would they expect it. Throwing a kick would allow more distance between your attacker and saves your hands from potentially breaking.
@ministryOFmuff17 сағат бұрын
@@groovytony247 Joe was never a pro fighter, he was a TKD nerd and later a stoner BJJ butt scooter nerd with his stoner butt scooter nerd friend Eddie Bravo. Theres a reason he never had an MMA fight in spite of his passion for and involvement with the sport. Also throwing kicks in a street fight is universally considered an extremely dumb thing to do.

@@ministryOFmuff I’m a fan of boxing but prefer any form of MMA over it as I do believe it’s way more exciting and more of a representation of real fighting, you can literally look up the UFC’s growth over the years and see more people are watching it now than ever, does this not mean it’s now bigger than it’s ever been?

@@hengdaa Oh really? half of their events this year were held in the Apex, basically an empty arena originally designed for Covid. They havent had a single PPV break a million buys in over three and a half years. Their biggest star Conor is completely finished. Jon Jones fights once every few years and refuses to defend his belt against the actual challengers people want to see. Izzy is becoming less active and has lost his last two fights. Ngannou left while the literal champ. Meanwhile apparently Jake Paul is "saving" boxing even though in reality Fury/Usyk broke a million buys earlier this year and Tank/Garcia did the same last year. And AJ/Dubois recently drew a crowd of 96,000 which is larger than any MMA event ever.
