After my last video i was invited into the world of Isle modding and let me tell you.. The communities are fighting to save legacy. The stuff I've seen is insane. If they had a old version of TI dev kit I'm pretty sure they could entirely re-make Legacy in the way we all wanted years ago. Two headed dinosaurs, New creatures, Dragons, Evrima dinosaurs, Unreleased Evrima Dinosaurs, New Hypo's, The list just goes on! I can't wait to show you some of this stuff, Massive thanks to Asura for letting us record on their server!

I get why devs can be a bit upset at modders. But honestly, modding is difficult and people only do it because they genuinely love the game. Devs should be getting modders to work with them to make the game better. Cause everybody does it cause they love the game.

The only reason modders make the stuff the devs are working on is because they’re tired of waiting and figure they can just do it faster themselves. Maybe, idk, the devs should work on things the community actually wants in the game instead of shit like rolling in the mud. Or maybe they should actually hire more people so that content can be released sooner. Also its less work you have to do. Its also just a fact that games with mod support stay around for much longer than games without. I mean, look at Skyrim that game is still doing well because of mod support. Also The Isle would 100% sell more with mod support, at this point its just a bad business decision.

Gonna be a debbie downer for a bit, but this modding response from one of the devs just re-highlighted why i quit supporting the Isle in the first place. I can't in good conscience support behavior the devs of this game keep continually displaying, it's equivalent to a bunch of toxic man children raging at the top of their lungs whenever someone looks wrong in their direction or, heaven forbid, dares to suggest something not aligned with their vision of the game. I could call the development team of this game a lot of things, but sympathetic and professional are definitely, and unfortunately, not among them.

But I see your point, and also, I think it’s the thing, you shouldn’t have to include modders into your team if you’re against it or are uncomfortable with modding anyway. I have nothing against it, I personally don’t like modded games but if it was confined to one server I wouldn’t mind. I just don’t want people to think, because there are good modders, doesn’t mean they would be a good edition to the team or the like. I understand without these editions, Legacy is pretty much has nothing new going for it and people love mods, so it would be profitable to add mods or paid mods and etc. However, on the other side, it’s their game and if they dislike mods, I understand, people don’t mess with the game because they hate it, they mess with the game because they love it. However, at the end of the day, people still messed with the game and therefore I can see how that can lower their appreciation, especially since the credit goes to the modders not the actual creators to the game. However, I understand the entertainment of having mods, it’s not my cup of tea but It kept people active and interested in the game.

I think if they try to stop the community from modding they will be shooting themselves in the foot. Modding is like fanfiction or fanart; it's how the community expresses its love of the media through effort and creativity. If they punish modders, they will be punishing their most loyal and engaged players. They'll kill their own community for the 'purity' of their game.

Thanks for visiting both modding communities again, Anth. Always a blast to watch your videos about them and showcasing some stuff. We're really hurt that Legacy WILL die in the future, but that's why we do all of this. We have a passion for this game and want to give everyone the chance to enjoy it as long as its still around (even if that includes some fun and cursed mods :p)! We constantly come up with new ideas to keep Legacy fresh and interesting for people who maybe don't like to hang around in Evrima that much or just folks who don't want to see Legacy die. It's amazing the community making and developing magnificent mods to try to save the legacy at all costs, and compare the work of modders with the work of lazy and selfish Devs who can ban you if the person is going to criticize with facts, it is an immeasurable shame. , in my opinion, the only way to save Legacy would be if modders themselves had the prowess of knowing how to create a new Dev Kit to support mods so they can try to relive those good old days of the golden age of Mods, Bad Wolf, Primordial Tyrants Etc.

After all the traction Path of Titans has gotten lately, and it's interestings mechanics, I almost regretted not buying PoT instead of the Isle as of today even after all those memories I've had, I had a choice of buying either The Isle which was popping at the time or PoT and I chose The Isle.. But it standed the test of time because PoT looks much more polished and refined, with it's constantly updating schedule. 1 must say, I haven't lost all faith in the Isle, even though I dislike the creator Dondi, i want the game to succeed because I still feel like it's potential was never fully realized in the end. Not saying it was Dondi's fault, but Karma really got him at the end.

Yeah hard disagree about PoT looking better. Their dinosaurs are decently modeled but the animations for a lot of them are very stiff, the sound design is just overall quite bad with every dino sounding nearly the same, though I like the idea of the precise movement it just looks very unnatural and weird ( Isle DEFINITELY did that much better ). if PoT improved the rigging and got a better sound designer it could stand a chance but as it is even beasts of bermuda dinosaurs look far more alive lol

I stopped supporting The Isle/Evrima a long time ago because it's clear a lot of the devs are just raging, thin-skinned assholes to be blunt; their behavior and commentary has left such a sour taste in my mouth that it just couldn't be ignored. I would rather support creators that are as respectful as they are talented, and actually enjoy engaging their audience rather than patronizing or insulting them.

I just don't get the hate for mods. Mods were what pushed me from "MAYBE I'll get this game" to "okay I bought the game and I've already lost a week running around on Grim Expanse with a custom skin". If people's main gripe is the neon skins and the cursed mods like the Legs trike and the Round dryo, then they can....just.....not use those mods?? This is a really easy solution that doesn't involve cutting off an entire genre of mods just because a very loud minority of players think those mods are "cringe" Also nah, we're not about mincing words here or about inserting extra context to try and make someone's shit take sound better than it is. Filipe hates mods. Filipe wants us to forget that Legacy mods ever existed. Filipe thinks that a base game is all a playerbase could ever want, that we should be happy with just this base game and not even think about how we could mod it to make it more fun, and that the base game will DEFINITELY not get boring after 2-3 years (as a generous estimate). I'll be hopeful that we're actually going to get official mod support on the day the dev kit drops

It is not The Isle we just wanted.. it is the one we were promised!! This game (The Isle) is all bud dead with a player base of 1.8% or less who actually bought the game!! That is why they need to populate servers with AI to make the game look and feel populated!! Primal Carnage celebrated 10 years of their game being released and that is what The Isle was back in the day.. a story mode and MMO of Primal Carnage!! The Isle can celebrate 10 years of bullsh-t constant development with 2 titles and 3 versions of the game and still the few players left over do not have a complete and fully working game!!

The shant model was wrong only because you used the wrong model (: no compatibility issues. the original skin/model concept is in the original modding discord and is named "Souless". The neuro shant is from another modding discord and they were allowed to use the skin, but the skin was not created for the neuro shant mod. To get the eyeball-throat shant, use the "Souless" mod ^^

Mods keep your game relevant and keep people interested. People can tailor the experience to their liking. Not to mention the level of talent that goes into making successful, many of which completely show the developers up. Devs shouldn't be pissed at mods, the only time I see a dev getting pissed at a modder is when they get shown up by a better more realistic model then they themselves created, and probably did the model in way less time then the actual dev did as well, seeing as how the isle is so closed minded into getting more help/workers on the isle. I couldn't imagine where the isle would be legacy or evrima, of they just actually expanded the amount of people they let work on it. Hate to say it path of titans has come along way in a shorter time period with more content then the isle has. Love the isle, but is what it is.

15:00 pretty sure its supposed to look like an extreme version of Corythosaur. but that wide body though xD why not use para for it? and why make it so extreme? hahahaha
