Exactly. Petrol multinationals have been exploiting the consumers for decades with the petrol " price cycle " - it used to be a reasonable price one day then up 30 cents a litre the next day? How does that work? There were several inquiries and ranting from the ACCC but what happened?

@lloydsingline340 You know Australia is an oil producing country at the mercy of OPEC? Australia's prices are linked to whatever Singapore price is. But finite fossil fuels will eventually run out and future generations will have other problems to worry about. Singapore Mogas 95 Unleaded (Mogas 95) is the relevant international benchmark for the wholesale price of petrol in Australia. Singapore Gasoil with 10 parts per million sulphur content (Gasoil 10 ppm) is the international benchmark for the wholesale price of diesel.

Our local IGA and other small supermarkets have higher prices than Coles and Woollies, I'm wondering...why? If it's only Coles and Woollies being investigated. 🤔

Okay, with these findings , what have been done so far. Nothing! Exactly. Just media Noise , but realistically prices ridiculously keep on rising, penalty fees are heading towards government pockets, however , consumers are never compensated for any loss .

You bet ,,,,i used to buy chocolate biscuits in a packet from Coles for $3.50 per packet then to $4.00 and now they are $6.00,,,, and now they put them on special for $5.00 blind Freddy knows they are price gouging on hundreds of items like this its just taken the government and ACCC years to act,,,,we are sick of getting ripped off!!

When Alan Fels tried to act on price fixing and monopolies, Peter Costello stood on his neck. - The Libs should have acted to curb monopolies years ago, however they know on which side their bread is buttered. The joke is very few Australians seem to know what Antitrust laws are about. The crap we are getting now from corporations, is the same as happened in the 'gilded age' in America. WE are back in the 19th century.
