I’ve been playing for 2 years and watching DGPT almost as long. This DMC tournament felt like one of the most exciting tournaments I’ve watched. Having those last holes play so difficult made me want to tune in until the end to see what could happen. Great job by Gannon Buhr designing those holes. Excited for the rest of the season. Great job Foundation with covering the sport. 👍🏼

Regarding the 'which season would a player want more' for the POY argument. Mutliple players have already said if they could pick which season they'd want every year it would just be the player who won worlds...I think you gotta stop conflating the POY with which season a player would want.

You guys nailed it with Hole 16 at EO and Hole 17 at Winthrop. Hole 16 created a monumental story line in disc golf that you just don't get without the bunker rule. With this years proposed rule, AB takes a 5 and he finishes in 4th place. Granted, maybe AB doesn't finish bogey-par if he kept some momentum by only taking a 5, but you KNOW that round put a fire under his ass that maybe he wouldn't have this year. Its an all around bad decision. Golf to this day has natural island holes that dudes keep stroking until they hit the island, and its not out of the ordinary to see guys on the PGA tour take a 10 every once and a while at freakishly difficult holes. These are pros. Ok off my soap box, good take Hunt.

Just with respect to when you guys were talking about how long are we going to wait until Eagle is no longer “just coming back”. With the type of injury he had as well as the surgery that was performed, don’t expect him to be “fully back” for about a year. He will definitely get to 80-90% as the season progresses but it will likely take a while. Coming from a PT who treats these injuries and rehabs post-op.

I 100% agree on all fronts. I’m a Missy fan, and she had a really bad first round, but she played very well to get back into the top 10, but she was never actually in the running. All of lead card were in it. I think it’s a foundation thing ultimately. Brodie got called out for not watching FPO, and I actually do think he watches SOOOOOME, but just enough for the show. I genuinely feel like Trevor and Hunter watch clips and look at finishes and try to piece it together. I think Brodie, love him or hate him, actually tries to do some research.

Being there, Miss was definitely in it as it started to come down the stretch. After hole 16 for chase and 15 for lead cards, the standings were: Emily -16, Ryan -15, Missy -14, Ohn -14 and Holyn -14. 5 players within 2 strokes, which is nothing with 17 and 18 looming. With the lead card struggling, it was awesome looking at scores and seeing Emily and Missy pushing to match the leaders by hole 14-15.

Look at total stroke differential. One additional win for AB is worth how many strokes? A few? Now if you look at all the times AB stunk - how many strokes did Buhr beat AB by during those? A lot more than strokes AB gained in that one extra win. I like AB, but consistent elite play is worth more than just one extra win.

I hope this comment section gets cleaned up. The constant hate speech toward a transgender player following the rules is wrong and I’m tired of it being one of the predominant themes of disc golf conversation online. It’s shameful and reflects poorly on the sport. While I agree that athletes should expect to get talked about online, attacking people over things like race, sex, gender, body shaming, etc crosses a line. Words do have impact. LGBTQ+ young people are 4x as likely as their peers to attempt suicide. Further, trans young people are 2x more likely than their LGBQ peers. That’s real and you should care about it. Being harassed online and watching others be harassed online contributes to those experiences. Discussing what rules people feel should be in place regarding the inclusion of trans individuals in protected divisions in professional sports is one thing, but hate speech and harassment are not constructive in any way. On another note, it’s also gross to see people disparaging other Christians for showing respect and decency.

I’m not religious. Don’t know what’s going on in the comments about that, and I don’t care too much. As far as the Natalie Ryan situation goes I find the comments extremely annoying. You go on jomez and it’s people saying “I’m not watching this and you know why….” But they’re giving the video a view and engagement. It’s so stupid and performative. What are they going to change? Be a grown up and just… not watch if it’s that important to you. But ultimately I do not understand why people even care. I do not understand this when it comes to politically charged situations. But maybe I’m just jaded and I just have the mentality of “if they’re not hurting me or anyone let them do whatever they want” but then it’s “they’re stealing money from female players!!!!” Niko is going to pay them the $30 so you’re good.

Sir, you need to understand KZbin before you start bashing Foundation. Any vid over 10 minutes KZbin will place ads and longer it is the more there will be. These ads are based on YOUR searches, gender, demographic, likes etc. Foundation however some times need to do a 30 second to maybe 1 minute ad read (this video didnt have one) in order to keep their lights on. Yes, surprisely your 1 subscribe, like and comment doesnt help a ton (still helps) but they need sponsors in order to keep this FREE content coming. If you want to get rid of the multiple KZbin ads, I suggest paying for KZbin premium. Also, while you are disc golfing you can turn off the screen and the audio will still play. Good luck. The more you know...
