Edwards is a young dynamic player with potential for greatness. What used to be conversations at the bar or at the water cooler back in the day is now posted for everyone to see. So, there will always be takes, pro or con, for each player. I'm entertained by the hype but I will slow that roll until Ant actually comes up with a significant body of work or leads his team to the championship. Jordan nostalgia is still strong, because until now we still want the next great player to be like him. I hope this means more people will pay attention to the actual games, instead of the media comments.

Edwards is a very good player. But it’s unfair to compare him to MJ. MJ was winning Gold in the Olympics at a very young age and winning a college championship against guys that would have been in the pros like Patrick Ewing. MJ was already a champion at a high level before entering the NBA after college. MJ was an alpha dog from day one and never played on a team that was upset. Even on the underdog teams, he stood out. MJ was an anomaly. That being said, Ant is an excellent talent who is playing on a good team so he will have opportunities to win and build a legacy.
