Jennifer is an exceptional singer. Yet seems she’s still learning how to “softy color” and “beautify a song” without always loudly belting out robust notes, which can take away from the essence of a beautiful duet classic. It’s those soft, smooth, angelic controlled notes that are often the hardest to sing. This is what made female music legends like Dionne Warwick, Phyllis Hyman, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey phenomenal singers during their prime; and especially singing love duets. They all knew how to control and change up their vocals to fit particular song arrangements. Jennifer is always ready to take us to church and that’s NOT appropriate nor proper sound for every song.
