started off rather plain, more of a singing around the house kinda nice. then when she took it up you could feel it, she's a singer that needs the more powerful songs and not rely on the softer style. other than that, beautiful woman that I would listen to talk all day long.

Sad that she wrote the song and the performer had no clue who she was, and then didn't even think she was good enough to be on his team. He's an amazing artist but he had no clue that her song made him millions! That should be embarrassing af for him. Song writers need more credit.

Tanya seems like she has been through the wringer, as so many talented artists do. So glad she took that step back and refocused on her life and ambitions but hasn’t given up on being where she wants to be. I wish she hadn’t included the story of her connection to Will in her pre-performance package…think it would have had more impact if she had announced that on stage after her audition. Glad that Sir Tom and Gavin turned for her…sad that Will didn’t even though he seemed he wanted to…think song choice was the issue with that. Loved Gavin’s pitch…seemed so heartfelt.

I see your point, but let's not exaggerate...he did not make "millions" off her. Her song was a stand alone on iTunes, never included on his album, and didn't chart well. It probably cost more to buy the demo than profit from the song. Plus she's not listed as a writer, which means she sold the draft to them (full release, 1 time fee, no residuals) and they re-worked it.

Im not sure how that all works different for each song writer I guess ..I personally know a song writer wrote a song back in the late 70s that still gets a check every month for royalties..3 to 5000 a month based on air play. He gets a break down of where it's played it's still seems to be a popular song in Europe that's where most of the play is .

Tom has talked about this many times, most notably on the Graham Norton show , if you want to watch it. They remained great friends, even vacationing together with their wives.
